The good thing about being in Pacific Standard Time, is that I am online often at the odd hours. Nighttime for me is a time when the Aussies are online. I am also available for the European hours, the Eastern Standard Time hours, etc.
NOTE: For school, I will likely be busy with school water polo, soccer and possibly basketball. Also, I have to take into account studies, homework, etc. But this likely won't be a problem considering I am just going into freshman year. This will probably decrease my hours a bit. But regardless, I will be able to get on my laptop/desktop for at least 2 hours a day. Other than that, I can pretty much be on my phone at all times. Browsing the forums, etc.
Well. Browsing and posting on forums, oh yeah. I am really experienced with that. I was one of the top five posters on an old forum for a RP server I used to play on. But moderating forums, I am agreed I cannot say the same with that. I have no experience moderating forums. Though I do believe that I have the capability to adapt and learn how to use the mechanics of the moderation tools we have here on LoTC. I have little experience with the multi-moderation tool with the application team. But all in all, I believe that I am a fairly quick learner. I generally pick things up pretty fast, and I think that I can do the same with moderating these forums.

I was one of the top posters on this forum. It was an old RP server I used to play on…Sadly it died out because the owner decided to take a leave without notifying the community. :/

Well, I have played on Junk's SMP server before. I also used the forums quite often. The gaming community was fairly mature.

Well, I have advertised a little server I made a while back. I also advertised my playthroughs, etc. I do not post as often as I do on the LotC forums though. I only have around 100 posts. However, I read these forums often. The minecraftforum community is HUGE. So I don't feel much of a need in posting.

This is the forum for servers like Killion Detention Server, Intoxicated Drug Server, and Evolution Paintball Servers. It is also a gaming community. I have applied for the position of forum moderator a while back, though they have neither accepted it or denied it. Because they are not in need of any FMs at the moment, I suppose.

Duuh. I have much experience helping players out on the Lord of the Craft forums, with the application team and all. I love this server, so dearly. And I would love to help the community out.
Well, to be honest, I haven't been with the community for /that/ long. I have only been around since April 1st. However, when I first started using this forums, and when I first began playing on this server, I fell in love with the community. The community on this server is something special. I have been banned in game once. Which may discourage some from thinking that I should become an FM. But I assure you, I will never make any silly mistakes again. I have learned from my mistakes, and have also learned to prevent these kinds of things. I think that I can help the entire Lord of the Craft community out with my position as FM.
I believe that there are three important characteristics that an FM needs.
- Maturity. FMs need to be able to handle tough situations, and maturity is a big aspect in this. If forum moderators consisted of trolls, there would be so many issues we would have on our forums. Unnecessary posts, trolly memes, etc. All of those kinds of things that an FM takes care of on a daily basis. Maturity also comes into factor when dealing with somebody who isn't so mature…Obviously. People who act immature are generally there to either get attention, or are simply just a bit young.
- Helpfulness. An FM's main job is to help people. If FMs didn't deal with trolling, if they were blatantly disregarding new peoples' questions, our wonderful community wouldn't be the way it currently is!
- Dedication. If you aren't faithful to LoTC, what's the point? If you aren't willing to spend a chunk of your time and hard work, you shouldn't be suitable for this position.
I believe that I have the helpfulness to become a FM. I have stayed persistent with my helpfulness with my position on the application team, and believe that I can do the same with a job with the Forum Moderators.
I am extremely dedicated to the server. I get online on the MC server 96% of the days. I get online the forums every single day. Either on my forum, laptop, desktop, or my tablet.

I love this server. This server means a lot to me, and I believe that I have the talents to be able to help everybody out on it! I really do hope that you enjoy reading this application, and see how much I appreciate all the work that the staff and the player-base of this server do. Thank you all very much, for taking the time to read this.

Read and understood the Robin Drake's word of wisdom to all applicans and applicants...
>> Here <<
[quotename="Robin Drake"]Do not despair if your application sits for up to a month without being accepted. I only go through the applications when I am in search of new FM's and when I do I generally either accept or deny them, usually the latter. I only go seeking new blood when I think it is needed and this does not happen that often.
Also, should your application be denied you can always post another one, though I generally deny them because I feel that they are not up to the task, and my reasoning far surpasses that of an application.
Anyway, best of luck to all you budding enthusiastic chaps. [/quote]
