Forum Rules as of 27/01/2013

By using the Lord of the Craft website and forum you agree to adhere to these rules, and understand that breaching them will result in punishment as determined by the member of staff who discovers the breach.



The server rules that can be applied to the forums and website, still apply here. Our Terms of Service also apply to the forums. The rules outlined below are those that may not be clearly applied to the forums from the server rules or are not clearly explained elsewhere.

• 'Backseat moderating' is against the rules - this means doing the job of a Moderator, please allow them to take care of things, and do not perform any vigilante deeds within the community.
• Making a new account to avoid being banned is not permitted.
• Spamming of any sorts is prohibited, this includes constantly posting a topic in every section of the forums.
• Do not bump old topics without a true purpose.
• Do not post multiple times in a row in one thread.
• Refrain from flaming, trolling, and just causing trouble.
• Do not post just to correct another players grammar/spelling.
• Do not behave inappropriately.
• Do not swear out of character or in non roleplay threads and do not use excessive amounts of swearing, there are younger members of the community within the Lord of the Craft.
• Do not link material that will/may cause harm to others computers.
• Avoid use of 1337 and other poor forms of speech.
• Do not personally target and attack any member of the community, regardless of their status.
• Disrespecting the Administrators/Staff Members is unacceptable, as is disrespecting any other member of the community.
• No racist material may be posted.
• No abusive material may be posted.
• No pornographic or adult material may be posted, this will lead to a permanent ban with no chance of appeal or leniency.
• Do not post any material which infringes copyright.
• Do not post any illegal content.
• Do not advertise other forums unless granted permission by a moderator.
• No trolling is permitted on the forums with the specific intent being to agitate or covertly target a group or person, action will be taken depending on the situation.
• Causing un-necessary drama is grounds for a verbal warning, the removal of the offending content and on occasion the addition of warning points to your account.
• Ignorance is not an excuse to breach these rules - if you don't know about them, that's your fault.

Breaches of rules on the forums are punishable normally with the addition of 'warning points' to your account. The quantity can depend on the severity of the offence, as can the duration that the warning points remain. Severe rule breaches will result in forum bans - a forum ban, will result in a server ban.
