Greetings applicant! Welcome to The Lord of the Craft!

Before you can begin playing on our server, you need to Apply.

The following guide is designed to walk you through that process.

    Application Rules

    • You must be at least thirteen (13) years old to join LotC. There are no exceptions to this rule.
    • You must have completely read the server rules to be accepted.
    • Your application must entirely be your own original work. Plagiarism isn’t tolerated. If you plagiarize any section of your application, you will be denied.
    • You cannot create a noble or royal character, or create a character that is friends with a noble or royal, without the permission of the player whose character’s child, or friend, you will be playing.
    • You cannot create a character that:
      • Possesses or knows the details of magic.
      • Is physically flawless or is omniscient, as these are both classified as powergaming.
    • Your Character Age must be at least 18.
      • Humans, elves, and dwarves all reach physical and mental maturity at 18.
      • Culturally, humans reach maturity at the standard 18 years, while dwarves and elves reach this at 50 with the exception of snow elves at 30.
      • Halflings reach physical and mental maturity at 33.
      • Orcs reach physical mature anywhere between 12-18, and they mentally mature at 18.
    • You can create an evil character; however, you should keep in mind that villainous characters must adhere to our villainy rules, and poor-quality villainy roleplay could lead to Moderation intervention.

    Application Guidelines

    • Remember to read all notes under each text box. Some of these include requirements for your application, helpful tips, and so on.
    • Your Character Skin should match the gender, race, and physical description (as best as possible) of your character.
    • Generally, try to keep your application free of grammar mistakes and spelling errors. We aren’t looking for perfection, but a well-written application makes the reviewing process much smoother

    Final Note

    • Check often to see if a Community Team member has reviewed your application. You will receive either an Accepted, Pending, or Denied response with a comment explaining what to do next.

    • While waiting to be reviewed, feel free to log onto LotC as a [Soul]. Souls are the unwhitelisted rank that applicants have, allowing them to fly and explore, as well as chat with members of our community in the [WS] chat channel. Cereus was the only child of his parents. They loved him dearly but were concerned do to the fact that his stature and weight always being behind his parents were slightly worried. Moving from Talon's Port to Aegrothond his Father thinking it would be best to raise him with his own kin. When his parents believed he was ready they took him on a hunting trip which due to Cereus inexperienced caused his father to get hurt. After returning Cereus took care of his father and prayed to Cerridwen and Cernunnos for his father to get better, but he never did. Cereus watched as his father and mother left his mother telling him that her and his dad were just going to find someone to help dad. Later that day his father was found dead on the outskirts of town and his mother was no where to be found.  She left blaming Cereus for killing the only person she had ever loved. This information never reached Cereus so he waited, and waited, and waited for someone to return home.

Starved from not knowing how to hunt and barely living with what was left in the house someone appeared in his bed. A large elf he had never seen before. He wasn't sure what he should do his first thought was to get help, but instead he took the last bit of food in the house and made the stranger a meal. Once the stranger awoke they conversated. it was strange the stranger seemed almost primitive not knowing most common knowledge. his name was Kolvar and he taught Cereus a bit about foraging and  brought food in return Cereus provided shelter at times and taught reading, writing, and common house hold tasks. through the years they have been together and the more Cereus took care of Kolvar the more he realized he wanted to own a inn.  Once Cereus is prepared he will start his dream with Kolvar his only family by his side.

How would you define roleplay, and have you ever roleplayed before?: The interaction of characters people have made to formulate a story that everyone contributes to. I use to roleplay a bit before high school.
Are there any rule(s) that confuse you or don’t make sense?: All rules seem pretty straightforward and easy to follow.
Character Name: Cereus Middlemist
Character Race: Wood Elf
Character Gender: Male
Character Age: 21
Physical Description: tan, long brown hair, brown eyes, 4'10" ft, 178lbs, meek, and weak Elf wearing a green dress with chain armor covering it, brown gloves, and brown boots
Personality Traits/Quirks: a kind, nurturing person that enjoys helping people and dislikes confrontation and fighting. Doesn't like other people in pain and will go out of his way to stop it even if it causes him suffering.
What is your character’s biggest fear? What caused them to develop this fear?: Hurting someone. I blame myself for what happened to my father and am scared to hurt an animal or person feeling as if I did someone close to me would get hurt worse.
What does your character like most about themselves? Why?: Tidiness "Cleaning is the only helpful thing I can do."
Nurturing nature "Taking care of Kolvar has taught me a few things I want to watch people grow so I can see growth in myself too."
What does your character dislike most about themselves? Why?: His inexperience "I am the reason my parents left me and never came back." (his belief)
His weak body "I wish I could help Kolvar with more of the heavy lifting he works so hard yet I can't do half"
Roleplay Scenario:

"Neither sir, I'm here to experience and learn. This city is so grand and I want to know more of how it works." *His excitement is shown on his face.* "I need to know more to make my dreams come true and this is a great place to start."
