    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Like, if someone OOC talks about details of their character and for some reason your RP character knows those details out of no where, that's metagaming. There are other instances but it's hard to explain.
    Example:
    Bob> OOC hey what is your character's powers?
    Jenny> Oh yeah they have (insert powers)
    Bob> RP: My character gains the knowledge of your power and knows to avoid you at all costs.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Basically being overpowered out of nowhere. For example, 'David summons a beam of powerful energy out of his hands and completely obliterates the city '
    Usually if your character is strong you need to have some sort of reasoning for it, or it's considered as godmodding or powergaming.

"Hey sir.." I say distracted looking towards the market. I hear the man blabber on about some other random stuff but I ignore him and walk past him to the market. My dog Foo follows me as I walk past different people and look for a food stall. Eventually brushing past some people I find a food stall and secretively grab a loaf of bread and run off. I run to an alley and sit with my bread. I split the bread in half and give it to Foo. "Here Foo, eat up.." I say as he eats the bread from my hand and I pet him. Afterwards I quickly eat up my half of bread and I get up to explore the rest of the area.
