    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Metagaming is when you excessively are out of character, especially when you use it to benefit yourself. An example would be when you are in a fight and call your friend out of the game to come to save you.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Powergaming is when you try to force someone else's character into doing something. An example would be trying to cut someone's and telling them it is cut off instead of giving them the option if they want it cut off or not.

I walk into the city taking in the humans and the town. "I have come in search of weapons. Where can I find a blacksmith?" He follows the man to the nearest blacksmith. He inspects the tools. He settles on a pair of axes. While they are not matching, one being smaller then the other, he still takes them.
