How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: using non-rp events and messages that your character wouldn't otherwise know about to your advantage. For example if you got a message that something was happening i.e a town of yours being attacked you could get online but couldn't go there straight away unless you had a rp reason to i.e being told by someone that it's being attacked. Another example of this is if you used information that your character wouldn't otherwise have to your advantage. For example if someone told you a war is brewing. Your character can't then just immediately start buying up armour and weapons unless there is a rp rumour that something like that is happening and it is within rp reasoning that you character would do that.
How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Making your character too powerful i.e without flaws and not realistic in the rp setting. For example being omniscient and all powerful or have godly powers. Another example of this is by forcing the outcome of a rp event for example a fight. For example saying *He chopped the person's head clean off* would be powergaming the right way to write this would be to say *he **swung** at the person's head* or equivalent.

(I assume Zez has to talk in the common tongue (not that I/he know the goblin/orc one) despite being a goblin, although Zez is educated by his parents.)

*seeing this tall gentlemen (Zez is tiny just to clarify so he's tall for him) Zez takes a few steps back and looks at him his eyes darting about assessing his option Zez says "Hi! pleased to meet you I'm new here, I'm looking for an inventor would you know where he is? He's old and I'm looking to learn from him. Also those blast cannons look good, how were they made? Oh and what was your name again?"
