    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Making your character aware of things they should not know, that you as the player do. Using knowledge from outside sources that you have acquired from research to allow your character in game to get a leg up. Example of this would be a character who only speaks their native tongue pretending to understand a race who does not speak that language. This can also include receiving outside knowledge about events in game that your character would otherwise not be aware of.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Playing as the all-powerful, unkillable, best thing since sliced bread. Role playing is all about the story and playing a believable character that makes the experience feel real. A dwarf will not win a high-jump competition, and a human will not naturally outlive an elf. Avoiding the reality of the roleplay to benefit your own experience is powergaming.
