    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Metagaming is when someone is roleplaying, and uses knowledge about things they wouldn't know or hadn't learned, such as a character in Dungeons and Dragons knowing how much HP a monster has because they read it in a book, basically just when your character knows everything you know in real life, and uses it for an advantage
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Powergaming is when you try and make it so that you have the perfect character, with things that only benefit you, kinda like if you were playing minecraft and decided to rush ahead and get diamonds while everyone else had wooden tool, its the act of making your character near impossible to beat and by default making it easier for you

"I'm here to visit an old friend, and to tell the stories of my travels across the lands to anyone who wants to hear! If you wouldn't mind, can you point me towards the Dancing Hill Inn?"

 

The man looks at Cade with a confused yet pleased smile, and gives him a detailed description of the route he needs to take

 

"Thank you, good sir."

 

[Cade shakes the mans hand, and as he leaves, the man looks down to see a small metal trinket, which he pockets with a smile]
