Greetings applicant! Welcome to The Lord of the Craft!

Before you can begin playing on our server, you need to Apply.

The following guide is designed to walk you through that process.

    Application Rules

    • You must be at least thirteen (13) years old to join LotC. There are no exceptions to this rule.
    • You must have completely read the server rules to be accepted.
    • Your application must entirely be your own original work. Plagiarism isn’t tolerated. If you plagiarize any section of your application, you will be denied.
    • You cannot create a noble or royal character, or create a character that is friends with a noble or royal, without the permission of the player whose character’s child, or friend, you will be playing.
    • You cannot create a character that:
      • Possesses or knows the details of magic.
      • Is physically flawless or is omniscient, as these are both classified as powergaming.
    • Your Character Age must be at least 18.
      • Humans, elves, and dwarves all reach physical and mental maturity at 18.
      • Culturally, humans reach maturity at the standard 18 years, while dwarves and elves reach this at 50 with the exception of snow elves at 30.
      • Halflings reach physical and mental maturity at 33.
      • Orcs reach physical mature anywhere between 12-18, and they mentally mature at 18.
    • You can create an evil character; however, you should keep in mind that villainous characters must adhere to our villainy rules, and poor-quality villainy roleplay could lead to Moderation intervention.

    Application Guidelines

    • Remember to read all notes under each text box. Some of these include requirements for your application, helpful tips, and so on.
    • Your Character Skin should match the gender, race, and physical description (as best as possible) of your character.
    • Generally, try to keep your application free of grammar mistakes and spelling errors. We aren’t looking for perfection, but a well-written application makes the reviewing process much smoother

    Final Note

    • Check often to see if a Community Team member has reviewed your application. You will receive either an Accepted, Pending, or Denied response with a comment explaining what to do next.

    • While waiting to be reviewed, feel free to log onto LotC as a [Soul]. Souls are the unwhitelisted rank that applicants have, allowing them to fly and explore, as well as chat with members of our community in the [WS] chat channel. Define metagaming in your own words: Metagaming to me is letting outside the game interactions with other players affect and dictate your character's actions in game. An example of this would be having a person message you telling you a certain event or thing of sorts is happening in that moment, if the player were to then log on and run to the event without any in game events happening to que that, it would be metagaming.
Define powergaming in your own words: Powergaming to me is purposefully making ones character overpowered in a way it takes away abilities from other players. An example of this would be a player making a character overpowered by things like giving them knowledge, power and strength they shouldn't be able to have. Things like characters suddenly understanding a magical concept, have insane strength, or just all around all of a sudden being able to do things they were unable to do before.
    Status: Accepted

Nova was born in Norland, being raised by her mom and dad along with her older brother. Her family was a set of hard-workers, to them their lives meant not much without a job. With this Nova didn't make any friends or have any lovers in her youth, her parents saying that their just a waste of time. Her brother became her only friend and was someone she looked up to and admired deeply, stating multiple times she wanted to be just like him when she grew up. He ended up being the one to teach her everything she knew, spending their free time reading books together. When Nova was 10 her brother disappeared from the house, when she asked her parents what happened all they told her was, "He didn't work hard enough for this family and became unworthy". From that point on Nova became an even more reclusive child and lost her admiration for her brother for betraying the Red Faith. Her whole life became even more centered around work, refusing to take breaks, stopped reading, and was working to an unhealthy extent. Nova through this found out she had a knack for wood cutting and it became her favorite thing to do. At 14 her dad started teaching her the basics of building so she would be able to survive in the world. When she moved out at 18 she was shocked at the world around her, she went beyond her families property. A childlike joy and curiosity found her which she hasn't experienced since her brother was still with her. From that point on she vowed to try to travel anywhere but only if the opportunity came to her. She refused to let anything get in front of her work and continued to work hard, finding any odd jobs she could do to keep her busy. Most of the drive to work hard being driven by a fear of being a lazy worker and betraying her faith like her brother did.

How would you define roleplay, and have you ever roleplayed before?: Roleplaying is acting as a character in the most realistic way possible. With roleplay one is near always in character and must make quick decisions while staying in the character. For me I have attempted to do roleplay before but those opportunities feel threw and didn't work out in the end.
Are there any rule(s) that confuse you or don’t make sense?: No
Character Name: Nova
Character Race: Highlander
Character Gender: Female
Character Age: 20
Physical Description: Nova is 5'7'' 120lbs, slightly muscular, brown hair, dark blue eyes, dresses in warm colors along with flowers
Personality Traits/Quirks: Bubbly, expressive, impulsive, hard-working, has the heart of adventurer, loves reading and aspires to travel anywhere she can, believes in the Red Faith
What is your character’s biggest fear? What caused them to develop this fear?: Nova is scared she is never doing enough and isn't a hard enough worker. This developed at a young age when she was told that was the reason her brother disappeared.
What does your character like most about themselves? Why?: Nova heavily loves her drive for working. To her being a hard-worker is everything in life. To be one and be good at what she is doing is something admirable about herself.
What does your character dislike most about themselves? Why?: For Nova her desperate seeking of approval from others. To Nova this seeking of approval makes her lose her inward strength of being sure of herself on an outward focus of seeking this approval.
Roleplay Scenario:

Read the scenario below this box and type out inside of this box how your character might respond. Your response must be at least four sentences long and include at least one action and at least one piece of dialogue surrounded by quotes.

"Oh, hello there!" She began. " Adventure my good sir, along with the promise of good work brings me to this lovely city".  She waves the kind man away, turning away continuing into the bazaar. All the shiny objects causes her eyes to bounce from table to table. Fighting the urge to go up to them she continues in looking for a place to rest or work.
