How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Metagaming is giving your character knowledge they didn't obtain in character. An example of this would be Knowing someone's name out of context or showing up to a fight when you were initially no where near it.
How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: An example would be: *She strikes at his torso with a swift jab with her dagger. Once it enters she twists it to cause a gaping wound.* This shows that the person did not give the other player time to react.
