Khas’parad turned and looked up at the man, placing his hands behind his head, rubbing the shorter hair before pulling on his braided ponytail he kept neat and oiled. A twinkle showed in his one good eye and he showed a wide and inviting smile, as though the well dressed man was a long-lost companion. “Greetings to you! I come to this land for reasons that are simple! You see Khas’parad and I wish to work! Any work will do, but know that this one has killed before and will probably kill again if the the money is good; or perhaps this one will just stack fruit in a shop; or maybe build a new house for a widow and her fifteen cats!”
The beefy, tanned dwarf let out a loud single-note bark of a shout of enjoyment and stepped forward, wrapping his arm around the man’s waist and pulling him along down the street. The man tried to resist but his slimmer stature denoted his lack of strength and so could only follow and try not to trip as he was pulled by the dwarf. The dwarf looked up at him with a big grin.
”You must tell me where to find the best Lavis Ale! Or perhaps a good Dwedmar Stout- that is beer, not woman!” He let out another barking laugh as continued to ask questions of the man looking for somewhere to find some work.
