    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Metagaming would typically be described as using information that you yourself have, but your character has not obtained through roleplay. For example, this could be going to a location that a friend told you about out of character, while your character would have no clue about that location as a separate mind, or having the sudden knowledge on how to fix a sort of trap based off a google search online to get out of a situation in a roleplay.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Powergaming is keeping the interaction between you and another person in your favor, whether that be beneficial to your character or not. Your character could be in a CRP interaction, saying "(character) swings their axe, instantly splitting the-" and without getting too extreme, quickly wins the CRP interaction without the other person having any chance of replying.

Lightly brushing at her dress, the young woman's gaze would fall to the gentleman and her smile would return his. "Although all of those options are brilliant, a new beginning is the thing I am after.." Her eyes slowly drifted from the man to the city that loomed just ahead, a sense of excitement filling her chest, her smile growing in size. "And a new beginning I believe I will find!" She'd quickly say, giving the well-dressed man a small wave and large smile before scurrying towards the shops and stalls, ready to find her new start she longed for.
