You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

"Many moons ago, I was born beneath the twilight of morning and raised by my parents. I was always rebellious, so when my father told me not to venture into the woods, I went anyway. That mistake cost me dearly, resulting in the loss of my home and childhood. I wandered too far and became lost, armed only with a miniature wood dagger I had made. I was chased by something and ran until I made it out of the woods, but I was far from home. I learned to live for myself, seeking shelter, clothing, and food from caves, berries, and animals. I avoided towns for a while, feeling guilty for leaving my family. Flashbacks from towns reminded me of the home I left behind forever. Until I found this place, where I decided to try to overcome my trauma and put it behind me."
