    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Meta gaming is an event where a player somehow comes across information related to the game, however this information was received when the player was not playing the game. Meta-gaming would then occur when the player uses this information to their advant
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Power-gaming is when a character does quite arbitrary actions that are impractical in roleplay. This encompases doing impossible actions, ignoring another's player's abilities, or trying to be all-powerful.

The 18 year old slowly walked off the boat in a nonchalant fashion and smirked. 

He looked toward the man, saying, “Sir, I honestly don’t know, but my dream is to the greatest mage there ever will be. And no one can stop me. Only time will tell what happens to me in this city.”
The man laughed at him, and jokingly said, “You little kid, keep dreaming. I wish you the best of luck.”

However, Jay turned to him, his face dead serious, and his eyes seeming to pierce into his soul. 

“You’ll see...one day.”

As the man’s eyes widened, Jay quickly took off into the heart of the city, waiting to explore all it had for him.
