You’ve just stepped off of the boat in the port of a massive and fortified city. Before you lies a sprawling bazaar, with numerous shops, stalls, and seated traders selling wares to folk of all walks of life. Just as you’re about to continue walking onwards, into the market, you’re approached by a well-dressed gentleman who looks upon you with a big smile. “Welcome!” He began. “What brings you to this lovely city? Adventure? Wealth? Or some grand aspirations to elevate your place in society?”
How do you respond?
As I step away from the dock, my gaze flickers from market to shop, taking in the new scenery that lie ahead of me. I pick up the comments from the overly passionate man in the classy ‘fit, snorting. My chin tilts heavenward a sliver to get a better look at him, my eyes fixated on his face. “It is nothing of importance,” I take a few steps forward before pocketing my hands. “- only traveling around the area.” With that, I turn my head away from him, sauntering further into the new and rather. .. massive, city.
