    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: To avoid power gaming I will roleplay based on my character's abilities or the things I have in a realistic way. For example, I will not roleplay magic if I don't have it because my character is just a human and doesn't know any magic so far.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Meta-gaming disrupts fair roleplay because you are acting on information you shouldn't know which disrupts other people. They think that what they are doing is secret and that you don't know what they are going to do, knowing whats going to happen kind of ruins the experience for the other person.

Adam would step back in disgust, the sight of the old hag was horrendous. "Expecting me?" he'd ask in anticipation as he cautiously sat down. "Born into poverty, I was abandoned as a child and taken in by a group of pirates. I spent my time as a child living and working on the pirate ship, learning the ways of the sea and becoming a skilled sailor. However, I yearned for a life of adventure and discovery, and eventually left the pirate crew to strike out on my own. I now find myself exploring Almaris, using my cunning and bravery to survive in a harsh and unfamiliar world. Although I am an orphan without a home, I am determined to make a name for myself and have a new life full of excitement and possibility."
