    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Metagaming isthe act of roleplaying with knowledge that your character should not know yet. For example, a friends tells the player about a plan to kidnap the character outside of the game world. The player then takes action to avoid being kidnapped even thought their character had no knowledge of the plan.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Powergaming is when a player takes action for someone else's character. For example, "William grabs Olivia and ties her to a tree." When it should be, "William reaches for Olivia, hoping to capture her and tie her up." This gives the other player the option of choosing where to take their character in the roleplay.

Lifting her lyre, she told the man, "I've come from Haelun'or to share my music with the world." She hoped she sounded nice, the way other races so easily did. Nelaira then walked to a nearby bench and sat down. "Would you like to hear a song I wrote?"
