Greetings applicant! Welcome to The Lord of the Craft!

The following guide is designed to walk you through that process.

    Application Rules

    • You must be at least thirteen (13) years old to join LotC. There are no exceptions to this rule.
    • You must have completely read the server rules to be accepted.
    • Your application must entirely be your own original work. Plagiarism isn’t tolerated. If you plagiarize any section of your application, you will be denied.
    • You cannot create a noble or royal character, or create a character that is friends with a noble or royal, without the permission of the player whose character’s child, or friend, you will be playing.
    • You cannot create a character that:
      • Possesses or knows the details of magic.
      • Is physically flawless or is omniscient, as these are both classified as powergaming.
    • Your Character Age must be at least 18.
      • Humans, elves, and dwarves all reach physical and mental maturity at 18.
      • Culturally, humans reach maturity at the standard 18 years, while dwarves and elves reach this at 50 with the exception of snow elves at 30.
      • Halflings reach physical and mental maturity at 33.
      • Orcs reach physical mature anywhere between 12-18, and they mentally mature at 18.
    • You can create an evil character; however, you should keep in mind that villainous characters must adhere to our villainy rules, and poor-quality villainy roleplay could lead to Moderation intervention.

    Application Guidelines

    • Remember to read all notes under each text box. Some of these include requirements for your application, helpful tips, and so on.
    • Your Character Skin should match the gender, race, and physical description (as best as possible) of your character.
    • Generally, try to keep your application free of grammar mistakes and spelling errors. We aren’t looking for perfection, but a well-written application makes the reviewing process much smoother

    Final Note

    • Check often to see if a Community Team member has reviewed your application. You will receive either an Accepted, Pending, or Denied response with a comment explaining what to do next.

Define metagaming in your own words: Metagaming is taking knowledge you received through ooc means and that your character wouldn't know otherwise. Then, you apply that knowledge to the rp, i.e. learning a rogue is going to sneak up on you bc a friend is spectating behind and you ""Suddenly"" knowing there's someone about to kill you.
Define powergaming in your own words: Making yourself unreasonably overpowered by using impossible means i.e. equating yourself to a god and acting as such or defeating someone waaay outside your combat range.
    Status: Accepted

Aire was born in Vectra to a loving mother(Pure wood elf) and father(mixed race). As a child he was wild and adventurous, taking to climbing any and everything he could, and exploring the Canopy City's vast treetops. However, his carefree behavior and general rowdiness brought trouble wherever he went. It all came to a head one day when he was climbing around with other children and in the fun he accidentally pushed another child from branches, causing them to fall a sizeable height. Luckily an onlooker caught the child, but the fear of what could have happened changed Aire.

He calmed down a significant amount, looking away from danger to instead reign his energy over to safer hobbies, such as the art of painting, carving and studying The Wild Path. He focused many days and nights recording information about the world and made beautiful sculptures inspired by it.

His parents actively encouraged this new interest and helped him every step of the way, and once he came of age they suggested that he look beyond their peaceful forest and venture out into the world for more material. He considered the idea for many days and nights, only to agree once he considered that he could bring home stories of his adventures and tell his seed of the world outside.
After safely passing by the scalebacks and humans on the ground floor, his newfound worries come with figuring out where to travel first, and how to avoid the ongoing conflict of man as he searches for inspiration.

How would you define roleplay, and have you ever roleplayed before?: Roleplay is just playing a character in a story. I have roleplayed a lot before, mostly in group sessions.
Are there any rule(s) that confuse you or don’t make sense?: No, they all made sense to me.
Character Name: Aire Dervan
Character Race: Wood Elf
Character Gender: Male
Character Age: 24
Physical Description: Aire has copper skin, blonde hair, and green eyes. He is average (~5'10) and thin, wearing a loose green tunic, black pants and golden bracelets.
Personality Traits/Quirks: Positive: Pacifist (towards sentient beings).
Likes: The Arts, Traveling
Dislikes: Roughhousing, and falling from heights.
Negative: Cowardly and Selfish at times.
What is your character’s biggest fear? What caused them to develop this fear?: Falling from great heights. It happened when he was a boy in the Canopy city, playing around with other children. Due to carelessness, Aire accidentally pushed another child off one of the branches. He was too shocked to try and grab them, but luckily they were saved by another onlooker who noticed.
What does your character like most about themselves? Why?: Aire appreciates his art skills the most: Painting, carving, singing. He considers himself to be very cultured in that regard and actively strives to better his talents and explore the wold.
What does your character dislike most about themselves? Why?: His cowardly behavior, mainly because his inaction has caused direct harm to another person.
Roleplay Scenario:

The sudden call from the gentleman startles Aire immediately. After a moment of looking the stranger up and down, an unsure smile settles on the wood elf's face. "I am simply here to explore, sir," says Aire. For a second he looks ready to flee, but pauses. "Do you know where the nearest tavern and inn is located? I am quite exhausted from the boat ride."
