You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: I would pretend that I was in medieval minecraft, and only use things available during the Middle Ages. Like I would not use End Crystals for PvP, instead as a Powerful Magic Thingy. Or Respawn Anchors to be Rebirth Stones. Fanasty Medieval Stuff.
How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: I would focus on my character and only my character. Would not focus on any real-world subject. To immerse myself as that character.
