    • You must be at least thirteen (13) years old to join LotC. There are no exceptions to this rule.
    • You must have completely read the server rules to be accepted.
    • Your application must entirely be your own original work. Plagiarism isn’t tolerated. If you plagiarize any section of your application, you will be denied.
    • You cannot create a noble or royal character, or create a character that is friends with a noble or royal, without the permission of the player whose character’s child, or friend, you will be playing.
    • You cannot create a character that:
      • Possesses or knows the details of magic.
      • Is physically flawless or is omniscient, as these are both classified as powergaming.
    • Your Character Age must be at least 18.
      • Humans, elves, and dwarves all reach physical and mental maturity at 18.
      • Culturally, humans reach maturity at the standard 18 years, while dwarves and elves reach this at 50 with the exception of snow elves at 30.
      • Halflings reach physical and mental maturity at 33.
      • Orcs reach physical mature anywhere between 12-18, and they mentally mature at 18.
    • You can create an evil character; however, you should keep in mind that villainous characters must adhere to our villainy rules, and poor-quality villainy roleplay could lead to Moderation intervention.

    Application Guidelines

    • Remember to read all notes under each text box. Some of these include requirements for your application, helpful tips, and so on.
    • Your Character Skin should match the gender, race, and physical description (as best as possible) of your character.
    • Generally, try to keep your application free of grammar mistakes and spelling errors. We aren’t looking for perfection, but a well-written application makes the reviewing process much smoother

Define metagaming in your own words: From my perspective, metagaming refers to a situation when a player tries to perform certain tasks that doesn't coincide with the current circumstances of roleplay, ie., he/she or his/her character tries to do something that isn't supposed to be possible in terms of proper roleplay, realism and immersion. Ex., My friend informs me of a robbery in my house through discord. I then rush to my house even though my character is pretty much on the other side of the world, and so, shouldn't have been able to get that information in the first place.
Define powergaming in your own words: I think powergaming refers to a situation when a player tries to perform a certain action which is not physically or mentally possible as per the character's health and physique stated in the character's roleplay bio. It also refers to a situation when a player tries to create an ungodly character which is not at all realistic or immersive. Ex., My 15 year old character manages to single handedly take down a military squad of 20 soldiers.
    Status: Accepted

Ragnar was born in the city of Helena His father was a highlander, who worked as a soldier in the military.  At the time of the War of Two Emperors, Ragnar's grandfather was a soldier in the army of Norland under the command of King Alvar I. It was after the end of the war and the death of his grandfather on the battlefield, that his father decided to leave his hometown of Nordengrad behind and settle in the city of Providence, and get enlisted in the army of the Empire later on. And that's where he met Ragnar's mother, she was a heartlander and worked in a local tavern.

Ragnar's parents gave their all to provide the best possible education they could afford for Ragnar. For much of his time in school, Ragnar was the only highlander in his class, the rest were all heartlanders. While some of his classmates were afraid of interacting with him because of his big stature, many students, especially the ones from the nobility, made fun of him and bullied him. As such, Ragnar never really got the chance to make true friends, which made him more socially awkward with time.

Ragnar's mother taught him to be modest and considerate with others, which is why, he never really used his strength to harm his classmates who bullied him. However, that changed one day, when one of those bullies, a kid younger than him, disrespected and made fun of Ragnar's parents. This made him so angry that he lost his control and punched that kid hard on his jaw. He only realized later that he punched him so hard that the kid's jawbone shattered. After he calmed himself down, he just couldn't forgive himself for hitting that kid. So he went to that kid's house the next day to apologize to him. That kid's father was absolutely furious, and being a noble, he had the privilege to punish a lowly commoner for hitting his child. He told the guards to hold Ragnar tight. He then brought out a sharp dagger and forcefully shoved it into Ragnar's left eye. Ragnar screamed in pain but there was no one to listen to him. The guards then threw Ragnar out of the house. His left eye became blind and it left a scar that will always remind him of the time he lost his control and burned in rage. Despite the overwhelming pain, Ragnar accepted his punishment and didn't seek revenge on that kid or his father, for he believed that he deserved this punishment.

Ragnar's father trained him in the art of basic combat from his early childhood, and wanted him to one day become a soldier and protect the people around him. Ragnar admired his father for his loyalty to the Empire and dedication to protect the people around him at all cost. However, Ragnar himself wasn't much interested in war and bloodshed. Instead, he was more keen on politics and diplomacy, and he also loved the wonderful architecture of Helena and hoped to one day become an architect himself.

Ragnar's father died when he was 18 years old, due to a disease that inflicted him on the battlefield. And his mother died a year later, due to old age. Since Ragnar had no friends and family left in Helena, he decided to leave this city behind and move on to settle somewhere else, somewhere he would find more people of his origin, people who wouldn't make fun of him and discriminate him, people whom he can call friends and family.

How would you define roleplay, and have you ever roleplayed before?: Roleplay can be defined as a situation/journey where a person/player assumes the identity of a fictional character and performs actions as that character to forge his/her character's own path. Yes, I have roleplayed a decent bit before on other minecraft roleplay servers.
Are there any rule(s) that confuse you or don’t make sense?: No, I properly understood all the rules.
Character Name: Ragnar
Character Race: Highlander
Character Gender: Male
Character Age: 20
Physical Description: Muscular
Moderately long blonde hair, shaved sides
Blue eyes, but blind from left eye which has a deep scar
Red outfit, black cloak
Personality Traits/Quirks: Optimistic, considerate, stubborn, loyal, cautious, modest, socially awkward and reserved. Believer of Red Faith. Dislikes self-centered and egoistic people. Believes in equality for all.
What is your character’s biggest fear? What caused them to develop this fear?: Ragnar's biggest fear is losing his control over himself at some point, and thereby, harm the people around him due to rage.
He developed this fear in his childhood when he punched an egoistic little kid on his jaw so hard, out of rage, that the kid's jawbone got shattered.
What does your character like most about themselves? Why?: Due to his highlander genes, Ragnar loves his muscular physique and strength that he developed over the years. He also loves the blonde color of his hair that he inherited from his father.
What does your character dislike most about themselves? Why?: Ragnar dislikes how socially awkward he is in front of others. He wants to make more friends and meet new people but his social awkwardness always holds him back.
Roleplay Scenario:

"Oh, ...uh..., hello there. ...Nice to meet you.... Pretty wonderful city you got here" says Ragnar as he moves his head around looking and admiring the beauty of the city. "I traveled here seeking ... adventure..., and I hope to make some friends along the way", he then starts walking around with the gentleman, looking at all the exotic wares in the shops, while getting pushed around a bit by the crowd, "Wow..., I have never seen so many people in one place", he then turns towards the gentleman and asks, "Is this place always so crowed?"
