    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: using external knowledge to give your character powers and knowledge they should not posses, communicating with people outside of the rp about secret rp plotlines or information they should not know.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: being OP in your rp, not giving someone else the chance to act as their character to have a say in what happens to them in certain situations.

As Éléonore steps off the boat, she gazes at the vast city before her. She had never seen something so colossal and immense in her life. As she is approached by the man, she gazes at his dapper clothing, which seemed so foreign to her. As he smiles and asks,  “What brings you to this lovely city? Adventure? Wealth? Or some grand aspirations to elevate your place in society?” She can’t help but to feel the slightest bit of pain in her heart at the thought of her old life. She swallows and looks him straight in the eyes and says in a determined tone, “I’m here for a new beginning, to become someone who I wasn’t before.” A smile creeps on her face.
