Ishmoz found distaste for the average orc life as the social runt, regularly beaten around by his fellows in the savannah. Ishmoz saw that he was condemned to the same filth and violence as those who he hated, and dreamed of ridding himself of both the dirt, and them. Ishmoz finally claimed honor and respect by slicing open the throat of his most bitter rival while he slept in a drunken stupor. Ishmoz was not known to be fearless, but he had shown he had the spine to kill, and that made his orc enough, even if a few whispered "spineless" and "Gurak" behind his back. Ishmoz would learn to tolerate his other kin, liking to view them as convenient meatbags to draw focus away from himself, and to take his time picking through the finer bits and bobs from the bodies left behind in conflict with other races, like human diaries and elvish cloth. His greatest possession is that of a halfling pipe, carried by one who had befriended their sort. While prideful, Ishmoz grew to hate those of most elvish sort, as their natural grace and beauty with action and words made him feel inadequate, and so while he may dislike his own kin, he will gladly work with them against such snooty high folk. "Bash their skulls, empty their heads! Ishmoz is smartest of all the races, and let those who say otherwise see if their sharp tongue can stop a sharp sword!" (Since there was a spot of confusion, my reference to in-universe lore was my character being called "Gurak", which was referencing Rex Gurak, who killed an unconscious wargoth, an act which was considered an "unjust execution".)
How would you define roleplay, and have you ever roleplayed before?: Yes, I have roleplayed, and I would define it as the adoption of characters or personas by people to act put fantastical situations and environments with others.
Are there any rule(s) that confuse you or don’t make sense?: How does one define a heist? Simply by naming it a heist? Does it have to be approved by a mod to be called a heist?
Character Name: Ishmoz
Character Race: Orc
Character Gender: Male
Character Age: 28
Physical Description: Red, almost rusty, with a piggish snout and short, cropped ears. Long braided hair and beard, 8 foot 3 and 310 pounds. Black irises, buggy eyes.
Personality Traits/Quirks: Anger is a quiet hatred used to fuel cunning, great satisfaction is found in outwitting opponents. Regularly resorts to fighting at insinuations of "cowardice" in his character. Lean, for an uruk.
What does your character want to achieve? What drives them?: Most uruk survive or die, but Ishmoz dreams of weaseling his way into a semblance of luxury, where plots and schemes can be cooked alongside decent meat, and others can dirty their hands instead. Can tolerate filth for the most part, but maintains his tusks and teeth to an unnatural white, and sharp as dagger points. Has resorted to body paint to maintain such whiteness, when scrubbing was not enough. Tongues from defeated foes are stored in a bag round his waist, as a mark of sick pride. "To see savages beat in battle and argument, by a TRUE orc! That is what makes me the best!"
What is your character’s biggest fear? What caused them to develop this fear?: Most uruk solve conflicts with fists or weapons, and that which makes Ishmoz the best also makes him vulnerable. Wise words are wasted on brutes and savages, and it is much harder to weasel your way out of conflict when your opponent is too headstrong or stupid to understand your banter.
Roleplay Scenario:
*Ishmoz grins, doing his best to mimic a fancy bow he had seen a finely clad man on the ship use when courting a disgusted sailor.*
Why, greetings my good sir, I seek good food, fit for rexd- for royalty! For gold to weight my pocket, and soft silks upon my back. And perhaps for this damn weather to lighten up.
