    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: I classify metagaming as basically fail rp. it's like someone types in chat "Lets go rob a bank" and you appear at the bank knowing they're gonna rob it so you setup for it. Which is techinally saying that you're doing something out of "RP" and not doing what your character would actually do.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Powergaming is where you force actions that shouldn't be forced. If i said "I swing my sword and chop peter's head off" that would be powergaming due to the fact that "Peter" would have a action as well. Possibly something like. "Peter dodges the blade that nearly chops his head off" which isn't powergaming because his action fights the other action instead of a unfair and instant move.

Theo just stepped off of the boat in the port of a massive and fortified city. Before her lies a sprawling bazaar, with numerous shops, stalls, and seated traders selling wares to folk of all walks of life. Just as she was about to continue walking onwards, into the market, Nymeria is approached by a well-dressed gentleman who looks upon her with a big smile. “Welcome!” He began. “What brings you to this lovely city? Adventure? Wealth? Or some grand aspirations to elevate your place in society?”
 

Theo emotions overwhelmed him as he began to sweat nervously and says "Greetings, while shaking in fear". Theo then began's to talk to the well-dressed gentlemen on how he wants to start a new life in a new town and eventually become worksmith as he "nervously chuckles".
