    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Metagaming is using information you personally have IC, but your character doesn't have that information. If someone starts using some obscure magic stuff, I look it up on the wiki, figure out its weakness, and then exploit that weakness IC, that would be metagaming.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Powergaming is making your character do things they are not capable of doing for the sake of an IC advantage, or not allowing other characters to properly respond to your actions. As an example, if I say "I stab you," that would be metagaming. I should say something like "I aim a stab at your chest."
