    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Meta-gaming is where you take info that you know out of character and use it in character when your in game character would have no prior knowledge to it.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Power-gaming is where you deem your actions unrealistically successful against another player without allowing them to have a chance to act on their own. EXAMPLE: *Bob stabs Bill, Bill dies.*

*Valadin grins and crosses his arms, after a pause of a few seconds he opens his mouth and softly speaks “I'm just looking for a new place to start”. Valadin shrugs and looks down, kicking a few rocks around with the tips of his boots before he raises his head again. He was reminded of his mother, telling him not to mess up his new shoes when he was just a young elf. Valadin’s face drew blank, missing what the man had just said to him. Clearing his throat before taking a quick pause he looked back at the nicely dressed man. “Pardon? Sorry I didn't hear what you said…”
