You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
"I am Aral Venforth. I was born in a city located in the mountains of southern Norland, where I grew up under the guidance of my parents, who taught me the values of honor and respect towards others.", he began with.
"At the age of 12, I went to the city with my father to run some errands, where I saw a procession of knights. The way they carried themselves and their tough expressions left a deep impression on me, and I couldn't help but aspire to become one of them.", he paused for a second rolling his eyes up, "However, my father was not thrilled with the idea and forbade me from pursuing it until I turned 21."
"On my 21st birthday, I confronted my father to pursue my dream despite his objections. When I turned 22, my mother gave me a bag of coins so that I could travel to the largest city in Norland and begin my knight training there. I packed some provisions for the journey, kissed my mother goodbye, and left without saying a word to my father."
He looked at the lady with a smile remembering his new blonde friend, "While on the road, I met a kind man driving a carriage heading towards the capital. He invited me to join him, and that's where I met a guy named Cymrik Xiniakovik, with whom I struck up a conversation."
The old lady and Aral started to get along, but Aral got surprised after 10-15 minutes, "Oh, sorry, ma'am, but I realise I was in the middle of something, It was a pleasure but I have to go" He stood up and after a reverence he said, "Hope we can talk again sometime", and he left.
