    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: When the player knows more than the character they are roleplaying and uses it to their advantage.

I respond cautiously at first, wondering who this man might be.  “I seek adventure!” I say after eyeing him up and down.  I ask him as many questions as possible, trying to find out everything I can about the area and its history.
