I look him up and down carefully, looking upon him with thinly veiled contempt. Once I'm done sizing him up, I shake my head, "only passing through, whatever you want I'm not interested."
before he can respond I pull my hood down over my eyes and push past him, slipping through stalls and crowds, sweeping away a few items of fruit out of baskets and stashing them within my cloak. Once I'm out of the market I take one out and start to eat it as I look around, silently assessing the quickest way out of this city.
Ignoring all attempts at conversation I pick my way to a side gate and slip into the retinue of a merchant caravan, past the guards and out of the city.
