    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Metagaming is when a character acts based on information acquired OOC (out of character).
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Powergaming is when a character acts overpowered. Being unkillable or instantly killing others, performing impossible tasks, ignoring other characters' abilities as if they have no effect on him, using powers that are impossible or to use or contradict the lore, etc.

Roleplay Scenario 1
Gordon would hop off the wagon, strolling through the town when he spotted a tavern to guzzle some alcohol. While taking a seat at the bar counter he spotted a diamond speckled ring in the woman to his left; he'd decided he'd wait till she left to rob her behind the tavern. As dawn hit the women would walk out and Gordon would follow discreetly, finally cornering her he'd unsheathe his blade telling her to drop the ring and anything else she had.

Roleplay Scenario 2
Gordon would be traveling on the road to a nearby kingdom when he spotted a tipped over caravan, he'd stop walking and fast walk over to the wagon attempting to conclude what exactly happened. While analyzing the wagon he'd spot a trail of blood leading over to a river, when he got their he'd see two bandits attempting to execute two men. Gordon would dash over attempting to fight the two bandits off and save the men.
