    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Using information not obtained in-game to obtain knowledge/abilities/etc... that wouldn't normally have been available. For example, reading a book written in game about sword fighting is different from I dunno, watching youtube videos explaining the mechanics.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Acting in a way that's unfair to other players by not giving them a chance to react to your actions. Writing in a way that makes your action seem definite, instead of having a chance to happen.

Read the scenario below this box and type out inside of this box how your character might respond. Your response must be at least four sentences long and include at least one action and at least one piece of dialogue surrounded by quotes.

 

Tremerus grunts, not interested in small talk. "I'm joining some friends," he mutters and passes by the gentlemen. As he walks by, the gentlemen is puzzled, and offers up "Well you're in the right place, people from all over the kingdom meet here." 

 

"There's too many here for me," Tremerus says as he stops and faces the gentlemen. "Is there a quieter place for me to wait?" 

 

The gentlemen cracks a smile, and replies "Of course ... " and points him in the direction of some crates off to the side of a building. 

 

Tremerus goes, sits and waits for his friends to arrive and begin their next contract.
