Tzogo's journey starts in the The Kingdom of Haense. His existence was supposed to be simple, a humans life...is supposed to be simple. They're born a slimy, soft, little mass of skin and bones, feeding off their parents for the first part of life. Once old enough, they leave the nest to explore, to live, to start a family of their own. This is where the story ends for most. However, the universe seemed to have different plan for our unborn adventurer.
His eyes struggle to open as he is greeted by the faint sent of his mother. Their "nest" is a sewer, modest, yet to Tzogo, it's a place of endless capabilities. As his mother gazes over his petite, meek body, he perks up, hearing for the first time. The light hum of the city in the background, footsteps... many footsteps. He takes a breath. It feels nice. On intake, his lungs are met with a refreshing coolness, and on exhale, he watches as his breathe forms a slight fog in front of him. He takes a step, the stones are hard under his feet. He tries another. He fails. Failure? Concepts begin to develop in his small brain, ideas, thoughts, imagination. He scrambles to get up. Focusing hard, he tries to walk yet again, and he's successful.
Days go by, he learns more. He learns to speak commen, pick up things, run and jump. Tzogo's home is no longer a place of endless capabilities. His sewer has turned into a prison, he views the tunnels as barriers to the outside, which he longed to see since his mother told him of its existence.
Years go by.
Tzogo is woken by a poke to his back. He peers up, his mother his crying, but why?. "Dad....Dads going to be away for a bit"
After 2 months, Tzogo, being 8 now, understands his Dad will not be coming back.
"Mom... where's Dad?"
His mom glares at him, she is slumped over a bottle of alcohol and answers, "Dads dead kid, and soon so will we" She takes another gulp and passes out. Tzogo looks at their food supplies, and for the first time in his life, leaves the sewers.
He had no money, and begging was pointless. People were greedy...rich...people were greedy. Stealing was his next best option, so he learned how. Through trial and meeting fellow thieves, he learned the basics, and years later, had almost mastered his craft.
Tzogo spent many of his days scouring town for food, supplies...and alcohol for his mother. At first, he tried to teach his mother as well, as he'd seen some thieves work together for greater profits. To his dismay, she declined and continued drinking, passing out, and every now and then wander out to....well Tzogo didn't know what she did.
For 10 years this pattern repeated, steal, survive, watch his mother bathe in sorrow. At 15, his "home" flooded while he was out stealing some supplies. He is unaware of where his mother nor father is (he's not sure whether his father is really dead), and at first, spent his time trying to find them. Eventually he gave up, he needed to move on...so he tried. He moved away from Haense, scavenging as he traveled. He's made many friends as well as enemies, and is ready to make a lot more of both...
Grand?! *he looks down at his tattered, bloody clothing and chuckles*
I wouldn't say grand my friend *he gives a charismatic smirk to the man, tying to get a read on this...wealthy looking figure*
We can say adventure, although my tales aren't for the faint of heart *he says this while staring off past the man, he seems to be distracted, not paying attention to what he himself is actually saying*
*after a few moments* Ah! I apologies sir, have a nice day!
*and with that he slinks off*
