    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Metagaming is when a in-game character gets information about the game not inside of the game and from other resources outside of the game.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Power gaming is when someone creates a character that is over powered and has much more strength or mana or is to the point they are un-killable

I would respond with " Hi sir, I have just been on a long adventure and have come to this port on my travels to buy some goods on my way trough. Have a good day sir."  I would then walk off and hopefully he wouldn't follow me.
