How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Using real life laws in a game that is different from real life and can therefore be abusing incorrect logic without knowing or using it to their advantage. People who metagame can use it to unfairly gain the upper hand, gain unfair strength, nonsensical logic, accidental damage infliction, and even more undesirable results. Metagaming can be done without intent, but it is still bad to do things you don't have knowledge on, and you should discuss it and plan first or research it (depending on what it is). Intentional metagaming can be seen as abuse and could also be going against the system for personal advantage, it's selfish and should never be tolerated.
How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Giving yourself an unrealistic advantage or boost in stats for personal gain or for specific goals in an unfair manner. Powergaming can be used for up to kill off another person effortlessly, so it should never be allowed. An example of Powergaming includes upgrading stats out of nothing, or making a character OP. It is unfair to those around them and is another form of abuse. It is also unrealistic to the game and should therefore be illegal. Powergaming can even be unintentional, with people not fully knowing the limit of strength or what the stats they input really entail, so if this occurs, it should be corrected and downgraded to a more fair and even level.
