You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))
Pulling down her hood as Miya slinked into the tent, her eyes met with the old hag's. She smiled, taking a few moments to look around the tent. Her eyes lit up at the mystical candals and the witchy trinkets dotted around the tent. She knew she had found the woman she's heard whispers about.
Miya quickly sat down cross-legged and slipped her gloves off, neatly folding them in her lap as she gazed at the woman excitedly.
"I am grateful for you seeing me at such short notice, madam" she gleamed as she spoke in a slightly croaked voice. She had been on foot for some time, and had not spoken for days as she journeyed on her own between towns and kept to herself. "I need you to help me disappear. I want a new start, a chance at a life I choose, where I won't hurt people, like my father."
Miya had exchanged some letters with the old hag, already explaining the situation she needed to escape from, and the old hag had named her price for such an extreme task. Miya's father is a crooked business owner, managing a business that had been passed down for generations. Her mother, whom Miya had not seen since she was a child, had fled the family our of fear of being hurt by her husband. Once Miya found the woman who had granted her mother this blessing, she wanted the same escape for herself.
