    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: metagaming is using sources of knowledge in an RPG that your character would not be able to know of. For example one of my friends tells me in real life where a piece of treasure would be hidden and go and look for it. This would be metagaming since my character would have no way to know that information. I the player know it exists, but my character doesnt.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: making your character do things that they would not be physically capable of performing.

"good day to you sir, I went to this port city, because I heard there were bandits in the area and people who need to get rid of them. So in a way I came to this town to make some extra money for my trading company."

Fractrix thinks for a couple of seconds and continues talking

"Do you know of any taverns or guild I could go to to ask for more information about the bandits"

  • Please fix all grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors in your application to the best of your ability. I recommend using a free grammar checker such as Grammarly.
