    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Metagaming is where you try to say you know something just because a friend told you about a situation that happened to them or something you saw in chat even though you weren't within range to actually hear the conversation.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Powergaming is forcing a player to do something that affects their character without their permission.

Read the scenario below this box and type out inside of this box how your character might respond. Your response must be at least four sentences long and include at least one action and at least one piece of dialogue surrounded by quotes. “I wish to find my place amongst my fellow dwarves and fight for my people.” I would reply. I would show him some pictures of my old home and ask him where I could find some weapons or tools for the road. He would point me in the right direction and I would thank him for his help. After the little talk with the kind man I would visit the blacksmith, buy some tools, and then set of to find his place as a fighter amongst his kin.

  • Your Roleplay Scenario needs to be written in third person.

  • Your Character Biography has several issues:

    • Your character’s parents were killed in an attack, which is a very common cliche/ character trope. We try to avoid those.

    • Your character being an ‘expert’ in any field is a form of powergaming in an application. Your character needs to learn and perfect these skills IRP.
