    Application Rules

    • You must be at least thirteen (13) years old to join LotC. There are no exceptions to this rule.
    • You must have completely read the server rules to be accepted.
    • Your application must entirely be your own original work. Plagiarism isn’t tolerated. If you plagiarize any section of your application, you will be denied.
    • You cannot create a noble or royal character, or create a character that is friends with a noble or royal, without the permission of the player whose character’s child, or friend, you will be playing.
    • You cannot create a character that:
      • Possesses or knows the details of magic.
      • Is physically flawless or is omniscient, as these are both classified as powergaming.
    • Your Character Age must be at least 18.
      • Humans, elves, and dwarves all reach physical and mental maturity at 18.
      • Culturally, humans reach maturity at the standard 18 years, while dwarves and elves reach this at 50 with the exception of snow elves at 30.
      • Halflings reach physical and mental maturity at 33.
      • Orcs reach physical mature anywhere between 12-18, and they mentally mature at 18.
    • You can create an evil character; however, you should keep in mind that villainous characters must adhere to our villainy rules, and poor-quality villainy roleplay could lead to Moderation intervention.

    Application Guidelines

    • Remember to read all notes under each text box. Some of these include requirements for your application, helpful tips, and so on.
    • Your Character Skin should match the gender, race, and physical description (as best as possible) of your character.
    • Generally, try to keep your application free of grammar mistakes and spelling errors. We aren’t looking for perfection, but a well-written application makes the reviewing process much smoother

    Final Note

    • Check often to see if a Community Team member has reviewed your application. You will receive either an Accepted, Pending, or Denied response with a comment explaining what to do next.

Define metagaming in your own words: Metagaming is the use of information outside of your in-character knowledge to affect your in-character actions. X player tells you in PM's about Y player doing something, and having your character know.
Define powergaming in your own words: The original definition of powergaming falls in line with min-maxing, or "approved" powergaming where you stack up as many authorized buffs as possible to make yourself OP. Though it also means in some cases(here included) that you're just doing thing's unrealistically possible or without counterplay.
    Status: Accepted

Born in the last portion of Arcas, Orion existed as a child in Haelun'or. During these early years he did little, often finding himself walking the streets aimlessly. It was in time however, that he came to see the tales woven by a passing storyteller - and took warmth in that possibility for himself. Resolved to carry out a similar lifestyle, he began to wander beyond the city walls to other nations, collecting tales and stories to share with his brethren back home. It didn't take long for the Infernal creatures of hell to begin ravaging the land, and for Orion's tale-gathering to be put on pause while he.. Hid away. Too much a coward to be a warrior himself, he helped with the creation of arms and armor for Haelun'or and other nations in combating these threats.

As time passed, Arcas would end for the descendants and Almaris would come. It is here that his renewed journey to collect tales would unfold, starting in the Silver City of Haelun'or and spreading beyond.

How would you define roleplay, and have you ever roleplayed before?: I've roleplayed lots! I've been on several other servers for mineman RP, and I've been a DM for dnd for many years.
Are there any rule(s) that confuse you or don’t make sense?: There are some that I might not agree with, but they all make sense.
Character Name: Orion.
Character Race: Elf
Character Gender: Male
Character Age: 100
Physical Description: A fairly tall elf of relative youth. Wears old furs and cloaks, with gray eyes and pale hair. He's got a pretty swag looking beard!
Personality Traits/Quirks: Generally tends to keep to himself, avoiding violence and preferring a quiet evening of tea and discussion over swords and combat. He tends to often be considered lazy with these ideals!
What is your character’s biggest fear? What caused them to develop this fear?: Orion is pretty spooked by anything related to the undead, having heard(though not seen) many stories of them throughout his years. As a storyteller, he's gotten more than his share of second-hand details on the subject.
What does your character like most about themselves? Why?: He likes fairly little of himself. He's confident in his looks, as many elves are, though even then he'd be considered not half as fair as many of his kin. His only true like is his storyweaving.
What does your character dislike most about themselves? Why?: He dislikes his lack of effort. A sucker for instant gratification, he will always chose the easy solution to a problem - and curse himself for it later.
Roleplay Scenario:

"Neither, good sir!" Orion replied in kind with just as much zeal as the man approached him with, easily twisting to the situation. "I am here in hopes of finding a home and settling in peace. My adventure comes in the form of the tales of others."

>Assuming the man continued the conversation and tried to sell or recruit Orion, he would do his best to simply depart from the situation as politely as he could manage.
