    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Using knowledge your character does not/ should not posess to gain an edge over others. For example: Knowing who a character is if they are disguised.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Making your character unbeatable through actions that save your character through unlikely means. Example: When someone throws an AOE spell at you, you claim afterwards that you dodged the spell without reasonable explenation.

Fulgrim gives the well-dressed stranger a suspicious glance. What kind of fellow is this to ask a dwarf who is oh-so-clearly dressed as a miner what brings him to the city? Grumpy that he has yet to even gather his bearings when he got offshore, he humpfs at the stranger and asks him “What’s it ya you?” while keeping his distance. He has heard of shady businessmen who poach poor dwarves into even shadier dealings, and he does not want any part of it.
