    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: I would need to relate back to the real world and see what actions would lead to consequences here
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: I could ruin someone else's plan for like a big reveal or it could make your character too powerful where its not fun for anyone else

You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

I'm looking for work, trying to up my reputation you know. Trying to follow my dream, maybe be a king one day. Ever since the accident, I've realized that my body is still usable, and I can make a new name for myself. I made a promise to someone long ago, and they will not be let down. So, since I am here, I need to know how to get to the king, I need to become a knight first. Any more information you can tell me would help greatly madam.

  • Please make sure to mark out what your character is saying with quotation marks, or make sure to make out your actions however you see fit!

  • Please make sure to use actions in your backstory & roleplay scenario. This is just to ensure we know what you are doing!
  1. example They moved to lift the cloth door to walk into the tent
  • When talking about your character’s actions! Remember to use 3rd person!
  1. example He sat down, She looked around the room, they looked at the old hag and smiled
