How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Metagaming is using your own, out-of-world knowledge. Example, when you read about monsters, and you say as your character about that monster
How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Powergaming is using unrealistic power, or something similiar. Like when you say on chat that you killed your opponent with one hit, when you didn't.
    Status: Accepted

„Oh, hi! Well, I was just tired, I had no options to other life, to just go there. I am from the north.” Said Tom little stressed - „I lived in the house in the middle of nothing and only sometimes wandering people arrived. I never was in the city before.” He ends excited and smile too.

Your application has been put on pending, as there are changes needing to be made before you may be accepted, as follows:

  • Your Character Biography states that at age 16, your character killed four bandits by himself. This is considered powergaming as the chances of this actually happening would be unlikely, or even impossible.
  • Your Character Biography states that your character has prosthetic feet. Since metal limbs are something you have to get through roleplay, I would suggest simply saying that your character has a limp from the attack which makes it difficult to walk sometimes.
  • Your Physical Description states that one of your character's eyes was orange. While it is possible for people to have two different colored eyes, humans cannot have an orange eye color.
  • Your Skin does not match your physical description. Your skin appears to have black hair, while your character was described having brown hair.

If you do not make these changes within 24 hours, your application will be denied. When you are finished, please message me on discord @camocat9#9373 to let me know, or if you don’t have a Discord, send me a forum message, and please do ask if you have any questions.

If you still need help, make sure to check the wiki, and I highly recommend joining our discord and reading through the New Player Hub as well for all important links and info!

Congratulations, you’ve been accepted! Welcome to Lord of the Craft!

Now that you’re accepted, you will spawn in Cloud Temple as a player and be able to interact with the world around you. If you need any help, you can message me in game by doing /msg camocat9, or if I’m not online, you can find me on discord @camocat9#9373. Lastly, if you need any guidance in-game, and I am not around, please do /creq along with a message as to what you need, and another Community Team Member will get to you as soon as possible!

After reading the below information and logging into LotC, I highly recommend sending this in chat so a Community Team Member can help you out:

/creq I have just been accepted and would like a Wilven Monk!

When joining, the bot may be down that normally automatically whitelists you after the acceptance of your application. So, please go into the wandering soul channel (#ws) and ask for a Community Team Member to accept you!

I highly recommend you join the LotC discord using the invite link below, and please look through the New Player Hub!

In addition, I recommend taking a look at our Settlement Guides. Below, I’ve linked the settlements you may be interested in based on your character’s bio.

If you aren’t interested in any of those, take a look at our Settlement Guide Hub!
