    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Think of what your character could achieve, and what it could not. For example, no jumping to the moon, or running at the speed of light. This also includes forcing other people to do things, such as saying what someone else does, or saying "character1 instantly kills character2"
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Metagaming disrupts fair roleplay by making it unrealistic. If your a warrior with no experience of potions, and someone asks about how to make a certain type of potion, you would probably not be able to help them. If you magically know everything, and someone who is actually roleplaying doesn't, then its not fair for that person.

You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
