    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Meta-gaming, something I think to be unfair, is when a person uses technology to get ahead in a game. Such as getting notified of an oncoming attack on their base/home, and stopping it entirely. Or suddenly gaining a skill set after just looking it up.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Power-gaming, in my not-so-expert opinion is when a player forces actions on another, therefore, the other player has no chance to react properly. In role play, a person may swing their sword and say they killed the other player, and it must be accepted.
