And a-one, and a-two -
Tayna hummed softly to herself and she hopped down the planks off the boat. So pleased was she that the boat ride was finally over, and with her nausea to soon follow, that the well-dressed gentleman took her by surprise. Briefly caught off guard she paused, blinking as he spoke.
"Welcome!"
There was the slightest downturn twitch of her lips.
"What brings you to this lovely city? Adventure? Wealth? Or some grand aspirations to elevate your place in society?"
And what in the moon's name made that this man's business? Before the downturn twitch could develop into a full frown Tayna turned it upside down to smile brightly at the man. Her hands came together in delight even as her eyes scanned his person. Nothing official far as she could see... Well, there couldn't be much harm in telling him part could there?
"Books! Scrolls! Maps!" Tayna replied happily, her enthusiasm truly not a ruse. "I have so little and there's so many for me to pursue. You know, one of the few things I'm always grateful for is my elven lifespan." Tayna twirls in place, skirt spreading out. "But it's such a problem too! There's going to be all kinds of new things happening even in a thousand years and, gosh, if my mind starts going at eight hundred? Terrible, so terrible. Been wondering for a while now why no one's bothered to fix this!" Something she wants to search for. A solution to madness. But he doesn't need to know that part.
If only memories could be removed and scribed as books, mm...
