    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Metagaming is knowing of something that your character would not, such as your character doesn't understand the magic of the world, yet you as the person playing them do and have your character use it.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: powergaming is simply being an overpowered person, unstoppable. I've met my fair share of powerplayers, and they in my opinion ruin the fun of being a fair player.

She'd look him up and down as if to question in her head, 'Does he really think tacky wealth is good fashion?' before saying, "Sir, I don't quite see why that's of your concern. Now, I have much more important things I could already be doing if you hadn't come over, so I must get going now." Then I would leave the man, likely bumping into him and looking back at him as I make my exit.
