How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: It means using the information from out of the server such as streamings or chats in order to help you within the server. It also includes using anything from the real world in the server. The example of calling friends for a raid is a perfect one but also stealing something from anyone that you saw playing on stream would be a good example.
How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: It means that someone does something avoiding the luck of probability. We cannot assume the result of actions that involve someone else, it has to be the luck of the dice what decides the fate of the actions. Example: "I open the locked chest" (assuming this is wrong) It would have to be: "I try to open the locked chest".

Your application has been put on pending, as there are changes needing to be made before you may be accepted, as follows:

  • Your Metagaming and Powergaming Definitions are on the right track, though they’re not quite there. Take another look at our Wiki’s definitions for help, and I recommend including examples so I can tell you fully understand!
  • Your Roleplay Scenario Response must be written from only the perspective of your own character! Do not control the actions of the man who greets them, simply respond to their first words!

If you do not make these changes within 24 hours, your application will be denied. When you are finished, please message me on discord @FionnTWG#3845 to let me know, or if you don’t have a Discord, send me a forum message, and please do ask if you have any questions.

If you still need help, make sure to check the wiki, and I highly recommend joining our discord and reading through the New Player Hub as well for all important links and info!

Congratulations, you’ve been accepted! Welcome to Lord of the Craft!

Now that you’re accepted, you will spawn in Cloud Temple as a player and be able to interact with the world around you. If you need any help, you can message me in game by doing /msg Fionn__TWG, or if I’m not online, you can find me on discord @FionnTWG#3845. Lastly, if you need any guidance in-game, and I am not around, please do /creq along with a message as to what you need, and another Community Team Member will get to you as soon as possible!

After reading the below information and logging into LotC, I highly recommend sending this in chat so a Community Team Member can help you out:

/creq I have just been accepted and would like a Wilven Monk!

When joining, the bot may be down that normally automatically whitelists you after the acceptance of your application. So, please go into the wandering soul channel (#ws) and ask for a Community Team Member to accept you!

I highly recommend you join the LotC discord using the invite link below, and please look through the New Player Hub!

In addition, I recommend taking a look at our Settlement Guides. Below, I’ve linked the settlements you may be interested in based on your character’s biography!

If you aren’t interested in any of those, take a look at our Settlement Guide Hub!
