Urguan got talent

With the ending of Urguan’s First Trading Festival, the dwarves of the under-realm of Urguan are happy to announce, the first edition of Urguan got talent.

What is ‘Urguan got talent’, you may ask. It is simple as its name, its a festival at which people attendt to show their talents, with hope to win the prize.

The prize of the festival shall consist in the winner receiving the title as honorary dwarf, a golden trophy, 1.500 minas and the winner shall remain in history as the winner of Urguan got talent edition I.

The event will take place in the under-realm of Urguan, more exactly at the Bearded Lady tavern at the upper level. After the festival, a feast shall take place where everyone will be fed and drink like never before!

While we have not always seen eye to eye, I do, and always have considered you a true comrade in arms since my first days in the Legion, where you presided over my first training. Since then I believe I have come far, and my proudest moments in life have been fighting alongside my kin in the shieldwall. However you have no doubt noticed my recent absence, which I confess was due in part to a poorly treated injury I sustained in the recent conflict. I have been nursed back to health, but am still taxed upon by the infection. Similarly, I have come to a realization.

Shortly after I joined our Legion, I was told I would be capable of 'great things', this is praise I took to heart, and is what drove me to strive for the rank of officer. Since then our Legion has gone through several reformations, and during those reformations I had been promoted to the rank of Commander, one of your two second-in-commands. While there are few greater honors than this, I have come to realize that, much to my shame I am woefully inexperienced for such a crucial position. While I have served our nation since my arrival, this is still only thirty years of experience in comparison to that of some of our number, who possess centuries of such. While I certainly think of myself as competent, I must confess I believe I am under-qualified.

Let no man say I held a position which would be better in the hands of someone else, as such, I formally request permission to resign from my rank of Commander now that we are no longer at war. Still wishing to serve our Legion I request demotion back to the rank of Captain, at least until I am better qualified to once more act as a commander. Similarily, I also request temporarily leave from my Legionnaire duties, to better focus on my duties as Clan Father and Rikkin, and to focus once more on my health to ensure no permanent injury.

A message from Urguan’s Warden to its citizens

With the new elections of Utak Ireheart becoming the new king of the under-realm of Urguan, changes took place in Urguan’s goverment. One of the changes is that the old rank of Grand Merchant has been splitted into two, the Warden that handles houses, shops and guilds halls and the Grand Merchant which handles the export of dwarven goods outside of Urguan’s realms.

I am honored to serve the under-realm of Urguan as its Warden, but as I took this step, changes will have to come in the Kingdom. The change I am talking about right now its a massive one and everyone must be aware of it, because excuses will not be tolerated.

The change that I am talking about is in the new Tax Sheets. With me taking the role as Warden I declare all Tax Sheets made by Gimli Grandaxe to be null by now. New Tax Sheets can be found in the Tax Office at the first level of Urguan, same prices as the old ones.

Another thing, that people must be informed, is Tax Evading. It is illegal and will definitely not be tolerated within the dwarven realms and the people that are found to be doing that will be trialed.

The Anbella Act

Preface

With the settling of the clergy in these new lands and the change of leadership to a joint co-leadership between the High Preceptor and the High Chief of Hefrumm the land that they both govern will be renamed. Kal’Anym will be the new name of the town.

Provision I Hefrumm and Kal’Anym

1. Because the village of Kal’Anym is the final resting place of the Paragon Bjor Cottonwood, the village will hold the title of Yemarin. This would make the formal name of the town Yemarin Kal’Anym.

2. The Sigil of Hefrumm will remain as the main sigil of the town.

3. The leader of the Forest Dwarf clans will still be called High Chief.

4. Kal’Anym will still remain under the Under Realm of Urguan as was Hefrumm.

Provision II Government of Kal’Anym

1. Kal’Anym will be led by the High Chief of Hefrumm and the High Preceptor of the Kirkja Dverga.

   1. They will have a council called the Yemarin council of Kal’Anym where decisions of importance to the town will be discussed.

   2. Clan Fathers and Elders of Hefrumm will have a seat in the council as will the Preceptors of the Kirkja Dverga.

   3. Elders of the clans will be allowed to voice their opinion but will not have a vote.

   4. The vote of an individual Clan Father or Preceptor count as 1.

      1. If an individual is both a Clan Father and a Preceptor his/her vote count as 2 votes.

   5. The vote of the High Chief counts as 2 votes and so does the vote of the High Preceptor.

2. Kal’Anym will still be obligated to follow the command of the Under King of Urguan.

Provision III Housing of Kal’Anym

1. The past inhabitants of Hefrumm will not be forced to leave their homes or relocate.

2. Any Forest Dwarf can live in Kal’Anym as long as they pay their taxes.

3. Members of the Clergy are allowed to have a house in Kal’Anym as long as they pay their taxes.

   1. Members of the orders under the clergy are allowed to live in Kal’Anym as if they were members of the clergy.

1. The SRH will be dissolved along with its amendments with some exceptions.

Ascension of the King

While the Underrealms has always been a democratic nation, it has not proven necessary today, as for the first time in our history, a Dwarf has been unanimously nominated for as king. Early into today’s council session, Utak of Clan Ireheart was sworn in as King of the Underrealms, facing no opposition, an election was deemed unnecessary. King Utak’s reign will be formalized with a coronation at a yet undecided date. When said date is decided upon, an announcement will be made.

Appointment of the Grand Marshal

With Utak Ireheart’s ascension to Kingship, the position of Grand Marshal was left empty. After a brief discussion among the council it was decided upon that Ozneat of Clan Treebeard will serve the Kingdom as commander of her throngs. Known for having militarized the Forest Dwarves into a formidable force, it is trusted that he is more than capable of the task.

Reformation of the Grand Merchant position

After much discussion among the council, it has been decided that the Grand Merchant position is to be split in two. Housing and taxation shall now fall upon the new position of Warden, currently held by Hekkaes Goldhand. The Grand Merchant meanwhile, will be tasked with selling Dwarven goods abroad to generate a profit, and thus fill the Underrealm’s coffers once more, for this task, Mafraedon Irongrinder has been selected.

As Lord Chancellor, I aim to administer matters both diplomatic and domestic for our king, should you be a citizen wishing to bring any topic of import to the council, feel free to contact me by either bird or letter, as I have opened a mailbox outside the Starbreaker clan hall for those needing to contact me. Foreign dignataries wishing to meet with Urguan should similarly see to contact either myself of the King.

Can be applied to all staves, swords or jewelry to add on to the aesthetic

Tier 2: dwarves and allies of the Under-Realm of Urguan

These items are sold to a limited audience because of the potential power they may hold. Therefore the clientele that buys it must be in positive association with the state of Urguan.

Capable of defending one against incoming attacks, voidal in nature. Weakening their strength if not nullifying it.

Combat enchants either defensive or offensive – 3500-4500 minae

Enchants to be placed onto jewelry, staves or forged weapons that add magical spells onto them. Examples of such are arcane shields or a flaming ring around the edge of a sword.

Tier 3: Private clientele

These items are limited to the elite clientele. To become part of this tier and purchase goods from this list you must be positively associated and recognized as a client of the Artisans Guild. As these items hold either great power or status.

True dwarven legacy in walking form. These golems are custom made for the client and outfitted with a basic set of commands on top of Impera level ownership.

It has come to my attention, that Goldhand clan, one of the most peaceful clan dwarves have nowadays, the clan having the first dwarven merchant, has been declared as an enemy of Urguan. It has come to my attention, not in a good way, but as I was in Helena, some lad came to me and asked about my clan, so I answered with pride that I am the Clan Father of Goldhand clan and as soon as I said that, they took their blades out to me and tried to arrest me, for what reason? Appereantly the only merchant clan dwarves have are actually the enemies of dwedmar which makes no sense. Looks like Urguan became as it was, opressing against the free dwarves.

I wish I knew that I was played behind my back, by my own kin, before I almost died because of it.

Shame on you king Fimlin Grandaxe, pulling out such a sneaky move against an entire clan for its decision to remain free and continuing to honor their ancestors in the way we were always taught. Shame on you!

[!] You open a small book with a leather cover bearing the name: Stormfist Folklore I - The Tale of the Snow Demon Snowball.

In Stormfist folklore there is a well known figure which was named Snowball due to his plump body and pale skin. Despite his charming name he is feared by Stormfist parents and beardlings. Snowball roams the land of the descendants looking for children to snack on. His name is usually invoked by parents to make their children obey or stop acting up. Like many other individuals in Stormfist folklore Snowball is an actual individual. His name was Brodeon Stormfist. The stories say that he was a sheepherder during the time of the Stormfist exile and had seven children. One day Brodeon was with his children and sheep when a winter storm appeared and forced them to take cover inside a cave. The storm that day was fierce and was able to destroy the cave entrance locking the family and the sheep inside the cave. For multiple months the family was able to survive by eating the flesh of the sheep and drinking their blood. However, eventually the sheep were gone. As they starved the children looked at their father for help. However, the starvation had damaged the dwarf’s mind and eventually killed his children and ate their flesh. When all his children were devoured he started picking the bones, chewing on them to reach the marrow. Even after there was no marrow left he kept on chewing in hopes of feeding himself. This caused his teeth to deteriorate to the point that his mouth became devoid of any teeth. Eventually a miner found him weak inside the cave. His teeth were gone and the smell of blood could clearly be smelled from his breath. The miner was horrified at the sight of the creature and of the bones and skulls of the children. However, he took the weak dwarf back to the Stormfist camp for him to be cared for by the clan. For weeks the creature was left in isolation in a tent, despite attempts to feed it, it refused to eat. This was until a child wandered into the tent. Playfully the creature smiled at him and offered to play with him. When the child was close enough it took a stone and crushed the child’s head. Soon after this incident a Stormfist woman came to take care of the creature but instead of it she just found a puddle of blood and the remains of the child that were simingly smashed to be slurped by the toothless creature. Despite the attempts to kill this creature it still appears from time to time in the roads or in cities where it knows he can find food.

Dwarven Holy Order Founded

Former members of Da Kirkja Dverga that belonged to the Grand Kingdom of Urguan banded together. This group of dwarves were disgusted at the sight of so many Khorvadic creatures roaming the wildlands next to Urguan. The group of dwarves have founded a order known as the Da Arkammar oz Zarhere. The Order’s intention is to help enforce the will of the Brathmordakin by hunting down heretical branches of the faith and hunting down Undead creatures. The group has expanded in getting multiple places of operation and the recruitment of many dwedmar, old and new. 

Romance in Urguan

Bianca Ireheart and Borin Grandaxe were spotted multiple times together. Under further investigation by the DNN, it was discovered that these two dwarves were in a relationship that was waiting approval of Kalviin. When Kalviin gave permission to these dwarves, they became engaged. The DNN would like to congratulate Borin and Bianca on their upcoming, soon to be announced maybe, wedding.  

Articles Passed

A new set of laws and regulations has been passed by the Urguani government. This came after a meeting of the officials of Urguan. In that meeting, Clan Irongrinder became apart of the Council after their recent growth and they take the spot of the recently merged clan, the Metalfists. Under King Fimlin Grandaxe was seen rejoicing after the council passed the Articles as he spent a lot of time and effort to help better the dwarven people. Those were the only major events that happened at this meeting of the government of Urguan.

The following reforms to the training schedules of Dungrimm’s Legion, the main defensive body of the Under Realms of Urguan, shall be put into effect immediately for the betterment and security of Dwarven soldiers:

(1) Legion practices shall from here-on forth be hosted by the Grand Marshall or one of his Commanders twice every stone week (Saturday and Sunday.)

(2) To ensure maximum activity, payment to legionnaires shall only be doled out during these practices. Honor for the stone-week shall only be legitimized during these practices.

(a)If a soldier does not attend a practice during the stone week(without adequate reason) for which he has recorded honor, that honor will be void.

(b)If a soldier does not attend a practice(without adequate reason) at the end of the month to redeem his monthly payment, that payment shall be void and irredeemable. The commanders shall accommodate this by hosting several more practices during the last week of each stone month.

(3) During the weekly practices, legionnaires shall be grouped into platoons of four; this shall be the basis for the following exercises.

STANDARD STRUCTURE FOR LEGION TRAINING SESSIONS:

Begin by paying the present soldiers and then dividing the present legionnaires into platoons of four, or of a lower number if there are less legionnaires, such that it is possible for squadrons of more than one person to fight and advance so as to replicate battle. BEGIN WITH FORMATIONS TRAINING: AEMIZ, VEL, DREE VEL, TEKOM.

I. MELEE COMBAT: legionnaire platoons shall be matched up against one another to learn how to fight hand-to-hand with blunt weapons against other contingent platoons. This aims to replicate battle better than one on one fighting, as battle involves multiple soldiers.

Platoons will be ranked by their progression against other platoons and the winners of the practice games will be awarded honour and a monetary bonus.

II. MISSILE SKIRMISH: platoons shall fight each other with bows and arrows outside the mountain on a field in close range and open range combat. They will be ranked, the highest ranking in each category then granted honour and a monetary bonus.

IIIa. SIEGE TACTICS/CAPTURE THE FLAG (only end-of week practices): two mock palisades camps shall be constructed on the fields of Agnarum at least 150 meters ((blocks)) apart. Legionnaires shall be divided into two evenly sized groups, who will fight to get to the center of the other group’s palisade fort in order to capture their flag. Instead of wearing their helmets they will wear their group banners.  This can be done either outrightly or covertly. The winning group will be awarded honour and the person who captured the flag will be awarded money. If multiple soldiers captured the flag at the same time, they must fight each other and the winner of this shall be awarded the monetary bonus.

IIIb. CAVALRY TACTICS (only beginning-of-week practices): soldiers shall be given horses and they shall be divided into two cohorts. Instead of wearing the helmets they will wear their banners. Soldiers can use both melee and missile weaponry. They will organize on an open field and play two matches whereby they charge at each other from pre-selected regions in the terrain. The surviving members of the winning cohort will be awarded honor and minas.

Then, the second cavalry game will take place. The surviving members of this iteration winning cohort will also be awarded honor and minas.

PRACTICES ARE THE QUICKEST WAY OF EARNING HONOR. IN ADDITION TO TRADITIONAL HONOR MEANS, PRACTICE ACTIVITIES GIVE THE FOLLOWING HONOR AND MINAS:

COMPENSATION TABLE FOR WEEKLY PRACTICES (SQUAD TOTAL):

These compensations are for the winners of each practice only, as described by the drills elaborated on above. Anything marked with an x after it signifies the honor multiplied by the amount of people in winning squadron.

Promotions will be handed out at the end of each practice if a soldier exceeds the honor needed for their promotion during that practice. At practices, honor will be granted, but depending on the disposition of the soldier during practice honor may also be taken away. Soldiers found to be acting irrational or, at worst, stark raving mad, will have 20 honor deducted from them per incident.

We the Stormfist have decided to create the order of Aaz do Belka (Belka’s mercy). This order will be to grant those individuals with mixed dwarven blood a place where they will feel wanted and where their talents can put to good use.

The sigil we chose for this order is to remind us of all of our weakness if we stand divided. Only by banding together into a fist are we able to protect each other and place our mark in this world. We Stormfist have known the hardships of being of mixed blood, we have been exiled multiple times of the lands of the dwarves, and we have also been suffered an attempted genocide by the hands of a clan we share blood with. Still, despite all these hardships clan, Stormfist survived. We did so by binding together, no matter what. Because we know of these hardships, and because we know of the good cooperation brings, we offer all those with mixed dwarven blood to come to join our community. Here you will have a family and you will have a future.

In a few places, although not in so many that such a meditation could be widely distributed so that all would know, wise mouthes behind long beards mumble the echoes of voices long gone– those utterances belonging to dwarves long passed into the aether but not yet at peace. Slowly and heavily do they speak, with only that authority which befits those lumbering, agéd dwarves nearing the end of their lives in a time of peace. In times past, such a thing would have been shameful. A dwarf who doth die on a deathbead of his own discomfort would have certainly, in those times of Kjell and Thorin, in those times of Omithiel and Algoda, been considered unworthy of his braids. But now was a different time. Dungrimm judged these old ones not, for peace had been ordained by the Divines overwhelming of his will. And this was good. For, indeed, for the kinslaying that had raged so rampant in times of the recent past was most horrible indeed. Anbella was certainly granting the sons of Urguan respite after that long and testful time.

And what can an old dwarf do during such a time? To fall onto his own sword, aye; some had done so. Many of the utterances hereforth heard did indeed come from such a dwarf, who, upon seeing the dismal state of his kin, had chosen to slay himself rather than face shame. Where he is now is nowhere honorable. Self-sacrifice the domain of Dungrimm is; but suicide doth belong to Khorvad. Yet even from that nether do some whispers remain, albeit unattested, for what good is a dwarf if he has lost his honor and his life? His lips cannot provide excuses. His memory can only soothe the dishonor a little, but even this is remembered by a few. And so the old dwarves sit and discuss, debating half-wittedly, Ogradhad having long abandoned them, on the glories of days passed; musing on this and that, and once in a while unintentionally betraying a word of wisdom.

Aye...for what is an old dwarf to do when his beard is too long yet his tenure on this plane too brief to lift the axe? They await their death, hoping that the Brathmordakin will take mercy upon their unindustrious souls with good understanding of their circumstances in time. And so they talk, clutching feeble fingers around tankards of fine ale– for at least this was a time of prosperity for the industrious young, many of which in these Under-Realms would gladly throw a mina or two to the barkeep to keep the lumbering dotards with a belly-full of mead as they await Dungrimm's call.

A young Grandaxe passed by and took pity on the stone-skinned elders, too old to be of use any longer, the hair of their beards now greyed and falling; each has their time, and these dwarves were past it.

Occasionally, the ancient ones would have a moment of salience. Brief, aye, but a moment nevertheless. For Ogradhad's servant, the Dragon, did seldom, in his flights to ensure the Balance of Yemekarr, land upon their temples and breath some fire into their ears to rekindle that original flame of knowing. These were often the days when the ale flowed handsomely from the contributions of younger dwarves, and when the beards of these ancients were well-greased with the oil of capon– so that they could ignore their bodily sufferings for a while and converse undistracted. And once in a while, but rarely as always, a youngblood would sit himself near to these stone-skinned ancients and raise an eyebrow, for he would wonder in his mind (perhaps directed by Ogradhad as a mercy to the senile):

"And what, mayhaps, have these old ones seen that I have not? Did they see the pillars of KalÚrguan, which were Golems, but of gargantuan size? And do they remember the sparkle in the eyes of the Silverbeards long dead (if, perchance, this name was remembered to him). And were they warriors as we are and did they fight as we do? Or did they slay kin, and gamble, and deject themselves in avarice, as more of us do? What do these ancient ones have to tell us."

And, of course, in classic dwarvish fashion, this would manifest itself in plain speech...for, as all should know, a dwarf thinks ten words per one word uttered: many forget that the sons of Urguan are the most intelligent of the races:

"Tell me a storeh," would utter the youngblood– within this simple phrase en-captured the entirety of his thought illustrated above– and by Ogradhad's mercy the ancients would receive this and their eyes would light up and their chapped, greased lips curl into a smile, and with a faint breath and shaky diaphragm they would begin to tell the tales of times long since traversed by dwarves long dead:

A DIATRIBE ON DISILLUSION

"Might it be that we wonder constantly how all relates to us and how we relate to all?" says an ancient, less eloquently and more pointedly, of course. "Aye, for some of us were not always dotards awaiting death. But our faces so liver-marked have become and our eyes so faint have grown, and our once proud voices now whispers and our ambitions long since extinguished, that we are no longer recognized for who we were. How many countless ancients, stone-skinned and nearing death, did once brag titles of great honour in the Legion of Urguan's past? Some can even claim to have been statesmen; others, merchants of repute–although those that were do still enjoy the fruits of their labours! Aye, that is, if they did not gamble their riches away...as most of them, of course, did! HAH! Such is the life of the dwedmar."

The young one smiles at the nonsense dribble of the stone-skinned ancient. He gives him some more ale for his belly and buys a cord of wood for the fire; the mines are closed for the night and sleep escapes the youthful laborer– he judges he might be entertained, if not at least lulled to sleep, by the diatribe of the old one.

"There are some of us old, forgotten ones that once even bragged the title of King. Aye...but better not be recognized. Those that have been forgotten, whose images do not accommodate a crown well at this old age, most likely never had the temples befitting of a crown. Some of them did not even wear their crowns. Others, victims of the cruelty of time. Others still kinslayers. Yet many more than can be counted men of politics..."

"Politics is a useless thing for wise persons. Those who are wise stay away from it unless demanded by the Brathmordakin. Ogradhad despises trifles and despises even more charlatans. There is no truth in such politics; truth is only in action– surely Yemekarr would agree if he woke. Yet when he does wake he shall judge creation harshly...for many stray from the truth and attach to it fanciful details which, plainly put, are lies. Aye– and this is dangerous. For from this comes the DISILLUSION"

The young dwarf nods to sleep as the stone-skinned ancients nod and bicker, rubbing their well-fed bellies and scratching their beards which, by this point, are of the length of many meters with great fanciful braids testifying to their age and clan affiliation. One who sits wears a beard braided in great forks and triads; ale and sword. The other's is even longer yet runs wild and is as black as teak; wrath once burned in his heart. The other's resembles fire and is clasped so as to be controllable but comfortable; he once cleaved many an orc with his axe for the sake of honor. Three ancients with three lessons.

"Think of how much damage has done this politicking to our kin."

"Aye"

"Aye, Aye, Aye"

"Even the wisest of us are tempted by it. All think they bear the best idea for the children of Urguan. Yet Urguan himself knew the folly of this long before our time. Aye, the people select the direction as befitting them and as appropriate by the times. Those who seek to divide are cursed. Those who seeks to unite under an iron first fall hard but are less cursed. Those who dare kinslay are the most wicked of all...and is a kinslayer even any more a dwarf?" queries the one with a last ember of ire in his heart.

"Of course." says one other,  "A spawn of Urguan of Urguan will always be. And to kinslay him who has kinslayed to kinslay is. The kinslayer must be punished, but not by the hand of kin; by the mouth of beast, perhaps, or by the hand of an yrrok. This is more just with the gods," quips the dying one with the braided beard of silver and blue ornaments.

"Nay, you speak nonesense you drunk. So unusual and cruel and methodic...befitting of your clan! Always a formula; a kinslayer kin is no more, for by slaying kin his kin he has forsaken; and thus, no longer being kin, to slay the kinslayer is to slay; and this is, in and of itself, just by the Brathmordakin," says the spawn of Bogrin, judiciously as always.

"Mayhaps you are right. But see," says the aged Ireheart "Look how you manifest disillusion. Surely, you are too wise now for this; Dungrimm doth call. You both agree that a kinslayer to be slain has in his destiny, and how it is done matters not. What is important is not to become DISILLUSIONED over such trifles; they may lead to disunity."

The dwarves grumble: Ireheart wit must be given its due credit. A warrior clan bears with it many lessons. These were those that delved into the nether and slew the Khorvadspawn which was Iblées...the Ireheart demand respect. The young dwarf sleeps; a good decision he made sitting by the old ones.

"Yet dictatorship too is unacceptable" adds the other stone-skin, "for we may all converge on one point, but to lose that which makes us unique is to polish away at the gem until all of its materiel is sanded into dust. Let yourselves not be DISILLUSIONED, but surely let yourself be DIVERGENT and diverse by that virtue. To converge means not to suppress. To suppress is to disenrich and betray. This is surely a due course for kinslaying, the gravest sin. Rather, accept all in good measure as father URGUAN did in creating our system for the dwarven people, but deny those which are dangerous and DISILLUSIONED."

And so the ancient dwarves bickered about semantic, pragmatic, and custom as they slowly drifted into sleep.

A PRAISE FOR DWARF-KIND

Of the Brathmordakin all dwarves know but of the Anmordakin only those arcane priests and sages remember. To worship an Anmordakin that is not Brathmordakin is surely sin; and the Brathmordakin hate it. For the celestials are Anmordakin but the Primordials are Brathmordakin; and whilst the Brathmordakin are in the larger sense of the world Anmordakin, they are infinitely more divine and second only to YEMEKARR himself who, having done his labor, sleeps until the day when the reckoning shall come and the cycle will finally break. Yet during this slumber, the lesser Anmordakin do serve the Brathmordakin faithfully; for the Brathmordakin have no interest in manifesting directly in our infinitesimally insignificant plane; their duties are to keep the order of the cosmos in BALANCE. And so they send the lesser ones down to look after the descendants and, of course, after their particular favorites, the dwarves of URGUAN who are blessed by pure blood, good heart, and clear mind. Aye, for that vile Khorvadic hex of Greed must at least be kept in check.

ULNO the WOLF OF DUNGRIMM stalks the mountains of Agnarum, and his howl is the whistling of the wind, and his growl is the rumble of thunder, and his eyes the stars. ULNO did look upon Kal'Varoth fondly, albeit with hunger. For ULNO was the warbringer, the deathbringer, bearer of plagues; but his white fur remained unseen, accept to those who sacrificed to him discretely, those priests who dared not divulge his presence to anyone else, for ULNO had long followed the dwarven people and brought reckoning to them when DUNGRIMM MOST HIGH demanded it.

ULNO scoffed and hissed at himself. What were such morsels in comparison to that havoc of decades recent passed? ULNO loved kinslayers, for in the end it was he who would devour them in eternity in his seven rows of teeth. But his mouth was shut by the divine spell of DUNGRIMM MOST HIGH who forbade him to wreak havoc at this time, for the Under-Realm of Urguan had proven itself to him as valiant and honorable, and these dwarves of this age were forged from hard-beaten mettle of conflicts of great horror; and, much like the steel blade which undergoes much trauma to strengthen, so were these young dwarves– tempered with the blood of those they once even called their kin. These were good dwarves. Hopefully their children would not be so good, for ULNO was growing hungry for the dishonorable...

ULNO heard the rustle and dissipated into the yonder quickly, for other Anmordakin were nearby; AENNA, sprite of ANBELLA MOST HIGH, and THE DRAGON, servant of OGRADHAD MOST HIGH, stalked Agnarum unseen; they were the breezes and sweet spring airs. They were the flowers that bloomed and the leaves that carpeted the ground in golden glory. They were the good harvest and the good king, and the good kirkja and the good custom...for this time of the Under Realms was the time of good, of the Algiz rune turned fork-side up; and very auspicious their presence was. Together, AENNA and THE DRAGON did smile upon the dwarves. And they uttered joyfully:

I implore that all dwarves, free from the oppression of Urguan, unite themselves under Kaz’Stailininn, so that the remaining dwed can find solace and peace amongst each other without fear of Urguan. 

The city of Kal’Orvul has plenty of space for aforementioned refugees. I will not judge or punish any dwarf who chooses to unite under the banner of Red, Black, and White. Old deeds are in the past, let our actions now, prove out who we really are. I do not seek war, I wish to protect those whom Urguan would seek to persecute and mark as traitors. 

Far too many of our kin have been marked by the kinslayers in Urguan. Far too many more are afraid to step out of the shadows. I once again implore that all remaining dwed loyal to Kaz’Ulrah join the Kingdom of Steel, to prosper, grow, and survive.

Tavern With Bad Name Gets Haunted

In the Urguan capital of Kal’Varoth, the local tavern that has a non-traditional name was haunted. Local dwarves were enjoying drinks and having conversations when all of a sudden all dwarves inside the tavern started suffocating. Witnesses of this haunting told DNN investigators that the tavern smelled of Burger Grand King after the haunting attack was done. Local dwarven clergymen state that this was a ghost haunting the tavern for its bad name and to punish the dwarves until they change the name. However, others say that they believe that it was not the case of a ghost haunting the tavern for its name but for other mysterious reasons. The reason for the haunting attack will probably never actually be known.

Dwarf Takes Two Hot Dogs at One Time

Darek Hammerfist was enjoying drinks at the tavern and was dared to do something stupid. Darek and his good friends around him were eating hot dogs. The friends of Darek dared him to eat two hot dogs at one time. Darek attempted to swallow the food whole because of a trick he remembered from his good friend, Hogarth Irongut. After the dwarf attempted to swallow the food whole he started choking and had a seizure. DNN wishes Darek speedy recovery after his seizure.

Local Ghost Enthusiast Fili Grandaxe Racist?

Fili Grandaxe is many things, ghost enthusiast, leader of the faith, and a clan elder. However, it turns out that Fili might be more than what meets the eye. This dwarf has been accused of making racist bird remarks sometime 50-100 stone years ago. His remarks included derogatory remarks about cave dwarves. DNN questioned a cave dwarf, about Fili’s remarks and the cave dwarf was not happy about them and demanded that Fili apologize immediately about his very old comments. DNN asked Fili for comment and Fili stated “That is a valid enhancement.”

PUBLIC NOMINATIONS FOR FOREMAN GENERAL
