For far too long have the Dwed gone unpaid & unappreciated for their superior labor for the Grand Kingdom of Urguan. From the rubble of the past, Kal’Mugdor, the City of the Mine, erupts to forge a new way of life for the common Dwed. Mugdor-Dharok, known by the common tongue as the Mine-Beast, rose to the title of Yemekar’s Pick purely by hard work and dedication, proving that nothing can hold back a Dwed from piercing the top. Now it is time for all the laborer Dwed to prove themselves in the eyes of Urguan, and to reap the rewards of their crafts. Come all ye miners, blacksmiths, artisans and more, as your expertise is in high demand in the Grand Kingdom of Urguan.

Miners: Supplied with the finest and most exclusive mine in all of Arcas, your sole job is to provide the Grand Kingdom of Urguan & Urguan’s Workers Guild with authentic Dwed ferrum ore. During times of peace, your quota is 32 ferrum ore per stone week, with addition to 16 aurum ore and 8 emeralds. In times of war or severe shortage of ferrum, expect quotas to rise to 45-64 ferrum ore per stone week. To be granted access to the mines, a one time fee of 100 minas is to be paid at the permit building, and you can conveniently store your permit in your quota chest. Upon completion of your quota, you will be rewarded a pay slip. Exchanging the pay slip at the payment building will reward you with 150 minas, a steady wage to advance yourself in Dwed society.

Blacksmiths: The world remains jealous of the superior blacksmith ways of the Dwed, it is what gives us Dwed the most valuable competitive advantage in war and industry. To ensure the Grand Kingdom of Urguan remains at the top of equipment quality, the sole job of the blacksmiths are to forge exceptional armor and weapons. Metal will be supplied by Urguan’s Workers Guild, free to use by the blacksmiths. Upon completion of each weekly quota of forged goods, blacksmiths are rewarded with pay slips that can be exchanged for 150 minas. With time, your smithing abilities will become renowned across the land, and others will surely be begging for your gift.

Artisans: While many Dwed may have sausage fingers, we have a limitless amount of beautiful metals and crystals to work with. Supplied by Urguan’s Workers Guild, artisans who work within Kal’Mugdor will be given supplies to create amazing crafts and jewelries that people all over Arcas will be dying to obtain. With each stone week that passes, artisans that complete their weekly quota will be awarded a pay slip worth 150 minas. By slowly chipping away imperfections from your craft, perhaps your work of art will become an heirloom of a kingdom one day.

When Yemekar made the dwarven race, it is said they were distinguished over the other descendents and more like him as they, like the Forge Father, were naturally prone to creation, gifted in craftsmanship amongst their peers. While the sons of Krug slap together tents and shabby pallacides in a rush for war, the sons of Malin lazily inhabiting trees, and the sons of Horen only caring to make whatever poses the most efficient benefit, the dwarves, the sons of Urguan, would dedicate themselves to making not only the most useful and capable structures but ones with great beauty and intricate design. We do not rush a building, for it is our divine duty to make what works we do grand, create works of inspired art. That is the purpose of the Omithiel Institute, to help ensure that the dwarves maintain their reputation with the world and its gods as the greatest architects, to make our halls grand and ornate.

Organization

Grand Architect

The Grand Architect is the leader of the Omithiel Institute, headed with the duty of managing the building projects of the Grand Kingdom. The position requires not only great skill in design, but the ability to manage and organize great works to be accomplished. They are in charge of managing the finances of the guild. They receive no pay, the only gain for their position is honor and prestige. 

Architects

An Architect is an accomplished and skillful designer, capable of designing works of any scale. They are picked and promoted by the Grand Architect. Architects receive a cut of all commissions they work on.

Designer

A Designer is in charge of creating the schematics for minor, smaller scale works. They are in essence and Architect in training. In order to become a designer, they must prove their creative skill and give an application for approval by the Grand Architect.

Builder

Builders are the manual labor backbone to the guild. It is a low skill requiring job, making it an easy fit for young beardlings looking to find a starting point in the community as well as for more experienced dwarves looking for a quick coin. They are paid by the amount of work done.

Services

Blueprint Commissions

The Designers are Architects of the guild are often employed in making blueprints for any dwarf with the coin. The price of blueprints is dependent on the complexity of the order, from the features requested to its size. Generally, a small 12 by 12 meter plot will cost 2.5k minas, a 25 by 25 meter plot going for about 5k minas, and a 50 by 50 meter plot going for 15k minas. These prices are only estimates, trends, and may vary depending on the specific order.

Grand Projects

Arguably the most fundamental service provided by the Omithiel Institute is the dedication to doing the work of the Grand Kingdom. They are responsible for infrastructure, military projects, and city projects. Every brick layed, every road paved, the Omithiel Institute is responsible for.

Members of The Movement having a discussion about dwarven inequalities

The Movement is the result of poor leadership candidates amongst the dwarven nation,  the frequent silencing of outside of the norm opinions, the refusal of wanting to change and the inactivity of the old guard. 

The Movement members shall meet at the appropriate place every two years (2 irl weeks) in order to publish “The State of The Nation”, a document highlighting certain issues and their solution, in our wonderful nation.

The Movement shall also publish and frequently update  “Da undivver” (the plan), a document that will hopefully be used by The Movement’s candidates in the following elections.

The Movement might also use various stunts in order to create change in the dwarven nation, these stunts would merely be used, but when used, they would send a clear message to the higher command.

History

Created in the year 1773 by the famous dwarf Charles “The Bald”, The Movement sought to create changes in the dwarven nation after multiple attacks in the throne room of the Grand Kingdom of Urguan, the silencing of various members of the community and poor leadership.
