The party was small and moved quickly in the night. The Kharajyr were naturally stealthy and they had previously scouted this path. Xo'Tletl watched as Rankhar and S'Qineli took their positions before he directed Za'Xuih, his best friend, towards the tree closest to the crabs. "Be careful," he whispered as he began to climb his own tree, focusing on his connection to the void.

So far so good.

The signal came and the Kharajyr hit their marks, letting molotovs fly and scattering the undead troops. The crabs were appropriately distracted, but only momentarily as things took a turn for the worse. Xo'Tletl heard growls behind him as a patrol flanked the Kharajyr and approached his tree. He swore and quickly redirected, throwing a fireball to the base of the tree and promptly scattering his attackers, though that did not last nearly long enough as his tree was set ablaze. A determined monster jumped onto the tree after him as he heard Xuih cry out. The nearest crab had taken pursuit, and the young Cheetrah was losing ground.

Xo'Tletl swore and made to dive out of the tree but his foot slipped and he fell to the ground, the wind knocked out of him. The flames burnt at his feet through the armor as he sat in a daze. Xuih went flying with a pained cry some distance behind him and he scrambled backwards, now running on adrenaline. "RETREAT!" He called. "Help this one with Xuih!" He limped towards his friend's broken body, the crab and the armies advancing as S'Qineli and Rankhar struggled with their own aggressors. Time seemed to slow as Xo'Tletl bent over to lift Za'Xuih over his shoulder. With the added weight and his injuries, he could only limp forward as the haze of burning bodies around him caused him to cough and his eyes to water.

Forward. Forward he pushed. He could see allies at the bottom of the hill. He had to make it. He would not leave his friend behind.

Pain racked his shoulder as arrows began to fly, causing Xo'Tletl to fall forward, tumbling down the mountain side with Xuih and landing in a tangle further down the hillside. Crying, he forced himself to move, now resorting to weakly dragging his friend's limp body behind him. "HELP! PLEASE HELP!" He cried in vain, tears streaming down his face as the relentless crab quickly closed the distance. Too late, Xo'Tletl looked up to see the growing shadow as the crab's claw came down on his body with a sickening CRUNCH, knocking him further down as his body came to rest and he moved no longer.

The horde continued past his corpse, relentless in their advances and hell-bent on the rest of the descendants on the Expedition.

At the behest of the Nanotzin, Xometlann, Head of Workers, High Aelkos, and citizenry, the human Argon is hereby banished eternal by the humble Kharajyr of Mitzuul Grove, Vassal of the Grand Kingdom of Urguan. Argon may not step within the territories of Mitzuul Grove.

Banishment has been submitted and approved for the actions of:

• Attempted romantic relationships with the Kharajyr of Mitzuul Grove.

• Attempted sexual advances on the Kharajyr of Mitzuul Grove.

• Expressing disagreement for legal codes restricting non-Kharajyr from intimate relationships with the Kharajyr of Mitzuul Grove.

• Stalking multiple different female Kharajyr of Mitzuul Grove.

• Disgracing and tarnishing the waters of our most holy Muunpool by way of bathing within its confines.

• Drawing arms against the Kharajyr of Mitzuul Grove.

• Breaking & entering of private properties within Mitzuul Grove.

  • By extension, he was offered a trial for all named offenses but has refused to take said offer to defend himself or apologize for his actions.

This banishment is an official statement, and will not be uplifted so easily. Argon may not return to Mitzuul Grove from this point forward. You will be imprisoned and executed if you hereby return to the Mitzuul Grove. You are give one last chance to amend by requesting a trial. If you fail your trial, you shall remain banished and a kill on sight on Mitzuul territories. Seek contact with the Nanotzin or a Xometl. The stars and muun frown upon you, and scowl from above in great maleficent ire.

Trade Pact of the Grove and the Port, 19 SE

Year 19 of the Second Era

The Sovereign State of Talon's Port and The Jungle State of the Mitzuul Grove agree to the following terms in the hope of bolstering the economy of both Talon’s Port and by providing affordable goods that are much sought after in each town.

ARTICLE I - The  Jungle State of the Mitzuul Grove agrees to provide The Sovereign State of Talon’s Port a tax-free stall within the grove that will be run and managed by the Talon’s Port Council, in exchange for medical and alchemical herbs; weapons and armour provided by the Ministry of Defense and custom weapons specifically made by the Sovereign of the Depths, Vivian Maelstorm Herself, until she is no longer serving the state; merchant services and materials that are requested of Talon’s Port; and finally, any produce gathered that is requested of Talon’s Port.
 

ARTICLE II - The Sovereign State of Talon’s Port agrees to provide The Jungle State of Mitzuul Grove a tax-free stall within the city that will be run and managed by the council of the Mitzuul Grove, in exchange for exotic goods (i.e animals, food, drink, weaponry); commerce service when requested of Mitzuul Grove; and finally, general goods and merchant services provided by Mitzuul Grove as requested.
 

ARTICLE III - The Trade Pact will expire twenty years after implementation, lasting until Year 39 of the Second Era. Upon Year 39, the Trade Pact can be renewed with mutual consent from both involved parties.

Peak Times:

Peak times are generally around 11 AM EST to 6 PM EST.  And from 6 PM EST to 11 PM EST being a bit less, more semi-active overall. We are a playerbase of 60/40 Europeans and Americans.

Populace Density:

The Settlement exists out of a majority of Kharajyr. There is a wide variety of Kharajyr within all shapes and sizes. Though, a little kept to themselves, they are really hospitable to all guests regardless of their race or affiliation. That is, as long as guests remain respectful.

Origin:

The Mitzuul Grove is the current home of many Kharajyr who have chosen to stay united under a chosen leader instead of remaining scattered among the lands of Almaris. The Land was gifted by the Grand King of Urguan to a few Kharajyr who had started out as a trade caravan. From there, the Kharajyr expanded their home rapidly as their fellow kin soon joined them in the process of building and tending to their new home.

Housing and Architecture:

The houses within the grove are relatively small. They are made in an Aztec-style fashion with varying colors and clay roofs. There are shrines scattered throughout the grove in honor of ancestors and Metztli. There are seatings, wells, and small workplaces throughout the grove. Some of the Kharajyr in the grove offer to help one and another with decorating their houses traditionally, so the interior fits for the more warm location.

The Grove:

The grove is in fact located within a sinkhole, an accident of mother nature that was dug out further. The location is close to Urguan’s mountain, causing a side-stream of Urguan’s lavacore to be transported near the Mitzuul Grove underground. This caused the sinkhole to become slightly thermally heated and with the help of some seeds, a lush, more exotic forest has begun to grow in and around the Grove. The conditions allow for more exotic fruits like peaches or tangerines to grow, while the temperatures are perfect for the water, making it able to house axolotl’s.

The Temple:

A vital part of the Kharajyr of Mitzuul, the temple. It houses a muun pool, a classroom, a clinic, as well as a sauna and hot water springs. Vital parts of Mitzuul society remain here. Kharajyr often have the duties themselves to teach younger ones, hence why the temple is a location of knowledge and should be befitted as such. That, and it’s a place destined for clean minds and healing. Therefore, facilities are installed to ensure one’s physical and mental health.

Though it remains a facility mainly intended for practicing religion.

The Tavern:

The main get together area of the Kharajyr. One decorated greatly with paintings and growing vines, with several rooms that can be rented out to guests. Famous dishes such as Patarashca and Burritos are served hot and fresh for all the Kharajyr to enjoy. And guests as well, of course.
