In this thesis, I, Hassan Ar Rassidi, will briefly discuss the history, methodology of the school and its founder Amir Rassidi.

History
Amir Rassidi was born during the founding of the Caliphate. This was a time where Rashidunism spread amongst the believers. Amir's father, Ali Rassidi was amongst the Rassidi people who converted to Rashidunism under Caliph Faiz Kharadeen. His father was known to have advised Caliph Faiz on matters pertaining to the Rassidi people who swore their fealty to the Caliph. 

Amir Rassidi being born into a wealthy noble family allowed him to live an easy life. 

At the age of 14, Amir Rassidi persued the science of fiqh and learnt from many great scholars. At the age of 30, he was known as one of the most respected scholar in the Rassidi community. His method was so influential that his students compiled his teachings and established the Amiri school. 

While Imam Amir Rassidi is known to be the founder of the school,  it is likely that the development of Amiri methodology could go back to earlier scholars. Unlike the earlier scholars, Imam Amir formalized the methodology of the school that would influence the history of Imaan Al-Rashidun together. The school has been adopted by various non-Qalasheen and Qalasheen Rashiduns due to its flexibility.

Amiri Methodology

Amiri methodology recognises the Kitab Al Salam, Hadith, consensus (ijma), legal analogy (qiyas), juristic preference (istihsan) and normative customs (urf) as sources of the Sharia. 

Kitab Al-Salam
Kitab Al-Salam is the scripture to which all Rashidun obeys from and the primary source of divine law. It is the word of Allah and was sent down through  the Prophet Availer.

Hadith
Hadith are the sayings and teachings that were attributed to Availer. 

Ijma(Consensus)
Ijma is the consensus of the believers. Even within the Amiri school, there are varying views on what Ijma consist of from one ranging from the views of only earlier scholars to the whole community of Rashidun, both laymen and scholars,

Qiyas
Qiyas(legal analogy) is a form of deductive analogy which uses a known ruling from another situation and tries to apply it in a new context to derive a similar ruling.

Juristic Preference 
Unlike the traditionalist Qalasheen based methodologies, the Amiri methodology relies on the reasoning of the jurist, especially juristic preference which allows jurists to adopt flexible positions if it benefits the community of believers. 

Normative Customs(Urf)
Urf is the collective practice of a group of people enacting the sacred law, however, if it absolutely contradicts the sacred texts, then it should not be adopted but if it is in opposition to Qiyas(legal analogy), then it is up to juristic preference.

Application

Chapter Seventeen: Marriage talks about how a believer should approach marriage. If we were to take the text literally, we would think that it is a need to do such a thing but rather, in the context of this chapter, it refers to the customs of the Qalasheens of old.

Chapter Seventeen: Marriage
“We also tell you how to find out between the two if you both wish to marry. You must go to her home officially with friends and family of hers not yours, and eat dinner with them, everyone will have tea but you(the man), she will then bring the tea out for you so only know you know, if she agrees to be interested in you. If the tea is bitter with salt then she does not wish to, but if it is sweet with sugar then the man may go to her oldest relative or closest friend and ask permission.”

The question is whether, is tea, sugar or salt a requirement to do such an act? In a society that lacks such commodities, then how would they perform such an act?

In a hadith narrated by Umar Hisham “I heard the Prophet Availer say ‘Your wealth does not define your soul’”

From this hadith, the Prophet is talking about the Imaan(Faith) of the believer in relation to their status. What if the believer lacks the means to such commodities? Are they not allowed to get married? 

So in this case, is the Salamic verse an order or a recommendation. If it was an order, then it would be unfair to the less fortunate believer. If we truly read the meaning of the verse, Allah is telling the believer to embrace her family and friends and wait for her approval. The tea is a metaphor for the believer’s heart. The sugar is a metaphor for love while the salt is a metaphor for rejection. 

However, this does not mean we should not follow such recommendations. Imam Amir himself viewed the recommendation as a highly recommended practice in the faith which would yield Allah’s favor upon the believer.

If so, is it permissible to use anything other than tea, sugar or salt? The majority view of the Amiri school views it as totally permissible with a small minority believing it is still more recommended to use tea,sugar or salt. 

Majority of the jurist prefer the less literal opinion as the message of the verse is still being carried out and does not burden the people.

If in the community, the believer has to prove his worth to the one he wishes to marry through other means, then he must do such a thing as it is the custom of the people as long as it does not contradict the Sharia.

Conclusion

While the Amiri school may seem flexible, it does not mean the views of the school are overwhelmingly relaxed in comparison to other schools, rather its approach varies compared to the traditionalist schools. After all my years as an Alim(scholar), I would recommend future Alims to master one school but study the other methodologies to better understand the world of Iman Al Rashidun.

I ask Allah for forgiveness if I am in the wrong and ask for His favour if He is pleased. Amin.

A hadith of our Prophet narrated by Faris Al Kadarsi, “There will be 3 groups of people who will fully devote their lives to my cause. The first are the mujahideen(warriors of faith). They are the arms that wield the sword and shield of the Ummah. The second are the ulema(scholars of faith). They are the brains who guide the Ummah with their quills. The third are the seekers(ascetics). They are the hearts that pump faith into the Ummah. ”
 

The 3 paths are not exclusive to each other. A seeker could be a mujahideen. A mujahideen could be an ulema. An ulema could be a seeker. The ascetics would use this hadith to establish the different spiritual traditions in Imaan Al Rashidun. Each path striving to remember Allah through their own ways. - Imam Faris Al Kadarsi

One of the established ways was the Tariqah(Path) of Imam Faris Al Kadarsi. Imam Faris Al Kadarsi was a knowledgeable Faqih(an expert in the sacred law) and Sufi(mystic) and had served as a soldier under the Kadarsi Caliphate for a period. He was known to have inspired their imaan(faith). His voice was low. They said that every time he recited his zikr, that everyone would gather around him and listen to him.

Imam Yusuf Al Farisi, a student of Imam Faris Al Kadarsi, was once a thief. He had tried to steal from the house of Imam Faris one night. On that night, Imam Faris was reciting chapter 11 from Kitab Al Salam: Repent. 

Imam Yusuf had heard him reciting this verse “ Allah says ‘Do not fear and does not despair for the mercy of Allah is awaiting you there(seven skies)’ “. 

Imam Yusuf wept in the darkness of the room and Imam Faris heard him and asked him to sit with him. He offered Imam Yusuf a cup of Qahwa and a date and would continue reciting the Kitab Al-Salam. On that night, Imam Yusuf repented and became a pupil of Imam Faris Al Kadarsi.

These two figures are very prominent in the sciences of Rashidun Mysticism. Imam Faris Al Kadarsi's teachings were formalized by his pupil and the one who led the formalization was  Imam Yusuf Farisi, also known as Yusuf Ar-Rassidi.

The Farissiyah Order

The Farissiyah Order was established during the middle period of the Kadarsi Caliphate. The order focuses on the core spiritual teachings of Imam Faris Al Kadarsi to achieve enlightenment.
 

The Logo

The sword, quill and heart each represent the foundations of the order. The 5 stars represent the 5 pillars of Imaan Al Rashidun with the name Faris representing their founder’s teachings.

 

Structure

There is no central head of the Farissiyah order. Once a Shaykh(Master) approves of the mastery of his student over the enlightened path, the new Shaykh may head an offshoot of the original order and are free to adopt their own spiritual practices.

Each offshoot may have differing spiritual practices and may subscribe to different Madhab(Rashidun Legal Jurisprudence) and Orthodox Aqeedah (Theology) but share the spiritual teachings of Imam Faris Al Kadarsi. Power structures within each order maybe different with their own tradition.

The relationship between the Shaykh and the seeker is highly intimate with the Shaykh acting as almost like a father or mentor figure to his students. This is due to the countless hours the Shaykh and students spend together while studying the deen.

Enlightenment

The concept of enlightenment in the Farissiyah Order refers to the light of Allah being cemented into the hearts of the believers. Light refers to knowledge and thus enlightenment also means to have Taqwa(God-consciousness).

 

Adherence to the Sharia(Sacred Law)

“A seeker without his foundations is no seeker” - Abu Hakim

Imam Faris was a prominent Faqih and was known to criticize seekers who disregard the Sharia for ‘spirituality’. He was known to be welcoming to all and yet firm on the religion.

A seeker once asked “Why do we have to follow the Sharia when all we need is spirituality.”
 

To which he answered “ The Prophet was sent down to establish the decrees of Allah. Who are we to deny our Rabb?”

The seeker was said to have repented and became a pupil of Imam Faris.
 

Physical Training

Imam Faris was a soldier and was a big believer in keeping fit. He taught his students martial arts in an attempt to promote fitness and self-defense. He believed in order to annihilate the ego, the body has to be strong physically and disciplined.

He was known to spar with his pupil and end it with prostration on the ground to give thanks to Allah. 

 

Rashidunic Studies

Imam Faris was an expert at Fiqh(Sharia law) and many seek his guidance on the deen. He studied medicine and also was an expert in the martial arts.

He believed that in order for one to attain enlightenment, one must be knowledgeable in one aspect of both religious and academic studies.

He viewed that every subject has something to benefit the Ummah, even the arts when in the right hands.

Members may devote their time to things ranging from poetry, music to art with a religious theme.
 

Veneration of Aengul and Daemons

The veneration of Aenguls and Daemons are common with many seekers picking a Patron Aengul or Daemon with specific attributes or blessings that they wish to attain.

In chapter 2,the Prophet Availer speaks of the permissibility of praising/worshipping the aenguls and daemons. The verse ‘There are many of those that praise/worship an Aengul or Daemon, which is fine within the faith, as long as the Creator is worshipped above them and is mentioned beforehand within a prayer that would be dedicated to an Aengul or Daemon.’

However, while one may pick a patron Aengul or Daemon, the importance of Availer is still higher than their Patrons and should be devoted to more.

Reverence of the Awliya
 

The term Awliya means friends of Allah is repeated three times in the Kitab Al-Salam.

Unlike the Aengul or Daemons who have powers bestowed by their nature, the Awliya were very pious mortals who strived in the way of Allah and may be granted miracles by the will of Allah. Traditionally, it has been understood that the Awliya are guides on Earth spiritually. Due to the nature of their immense wisdom, many seek their knowledge and revere them as models of faith. 

In Kitab Al Awliya written by Mustafa Al Batini, he expands upon the concept of reveremce ,veneration and true worship in light of Imaan Al Rashidun.
 

Brief History

The Spread of the Order
 

During the Kadarsi Caliphate, the order’s seekers rose up in numbers with many soldiers joining the Tariqah(Path) due to the unique martial tradition existing in the Farissiyah order compared to the other Spiritual Paths.

The influence of the order over the working class, particularly the soldiers in Rashidun military, was significant. Many known Mujahideens were part of the order such as Ibn Qali, Rashid As Sufi and Abu Sayf.

The order is not centralized but rather the Shaykh of their own orders built upon the ideas of Imam Faris Al Kadarsi with their own. Each Farisiyyah order may differ from each other but the core teachings of Imam Faris are emphasized.
 

The Decline of the Order
 

Due to the martial nature of the Order, many of its seekers preferred to die as martyrs and are known to participate in Jihads. While honourable, the teachings of the order tended to die off with the seekers in wars if the wars were major.

The Aegian war of the Undead had called many Farisis to seek martyrdom and defend Al-Faiz in the name of Allah. Many were slaughtered and killed and thus many branches of the once widespread Farisiyyah Tariqah either went extinct with only some of the teachings preserved in books or are only practiced by a small number of Rashidunist.
 

The Revival of the Order
 

Hassan ibn Khalid Ar Rassidi, descendant of Imam Faris Al Kadarsi through his daughter Umairah bint Faris and his son-in-law Imam Yusuf Ar Rassidi, one of the last few who still hold knowledge of the Farissiyah Tariqah is seen reviving the Order’s presence in the Fakhr tribe. 

May Allah spread the Farisiyyah-Hassaniyyah among the mumineen.

The Second Risaalah to the Vasoyevi - 24AD/2

[!]The Duke of Vasiyeva would find the Emir's reply brought to him in the form of a messenger, dressed in the typical Badawi fashion whilst carrying a letter bearing the seal of the Emir, should he be accepted in and the letter opened, it would read:

“Salaam Alaykum, to those would engage with us in a dignified manner, we shall do the same in response,

It saddens us to hear of your people's past plight, and our hearts are filled with joy as we see your people's success in finding a new home, you must understand, Amir Andrik, that Banu Fakhr wish no ill will against you, nor are we like those who'd turned their backs against you, for if memory recalls, we endeavored to help in whatever manner we could to aid your people's settling, and offered our hands in friendship even prior to the founding of your camp.

We do not ask that you relinquish your aid for those under your care, nor do we ask that you shun them from your home, for it is understood amongst the Qali that it is the Amir's duty to hold himself to his word, and protect all those Allah had seen fit to put under his care, what we requested, and what we will request again, this time in a more specific and clear manner, is that we wish for a guarantee that your administration will not push for this heresy's spread into our lands, for as we sympathize your pain and plight, perhaps you could sympathize with the reality that whenever the Qali had made allies with those of foreign faiths, many a times had those very nations sought to corrupt our own people's faith, by sponsoring missionaries into our lands, even going to the extent of drawing together falsified texts ascribed to our prophets.

Banu Fakhr welcomes those of all races, cultures and creeds into our lands, everyone from the ancient Pagans to Canonist priests, however, we draw the line at those who actively seek to corrupt our own faith, Slander Allah and change our religion to suite their own interests, the Vasoyevi, of all people, would understand the importance and eternal struggle of keeping true to our faith and ways, la? so again, you would understand our concerns.

The Tribe had made clear, in our previous communication, that we did not wish for a conflict, your assumption that we would wish undue harm upon your citizens, by issuing at the end of your letter the warning that you did, would normally be taken as a great insult by the Badwi, yet we find the world is in need of minds desiring honest and proper communication, as already it is filled to the brim with arrogant and petty fools.

May Allah guide those who are astray to the light of I'iman Rashidun and soften the hearts of the disbelievers, and if not, break their backs!

one created by your imagination or one of my own creation,

[!]At the break of dawn, on the 21st of Snow's maiden, the dwellers of Vasiyeva would look up with morning yawns and tired sighs, as a number of falcons could be seen swooping down from the sky above, perching themselves down atop the camp's interior structure, upon closer inspection, one of them would be found carrying a piece of parchment, addressed to the Duke of Vasiyeva, if opened it would read:

“Salaam Alaykum, those who offer us friendship, we offer the same twice over, and those who offer us enmity, we offer the same, twice over,

It has reached the attention of myself and the Ulamah of AL’IIMAN RASHIDUN, that a heretical sect of our faith spreads in your lands, those who follow this heresy refer to their deviance as “Al'Iiman Mutawahir”, this news is troubling to us, not only due to the fact that we had held yourself and your kin in high regard, or that we'd wished for a prosperous relationship between our people, but also for the fact throughout the centuries, we had fought to retain our religious solidarity, in face of all those who'd oppose us, be it against the duplicitous Canonists of old, or the ever-present daemonic threats against the living.

For these reasons we ask, for there to be any hope of good relations between our people, that this heretical sect receive NO Governmental support, approval or recognition whether formal or informal, from yourself or those who hold authority in your lands, it is not my desire, nor those of authority with me, to impose ourselves upon you or your people, nor do we seek to cause conflict or division, we act only in defense of our faith and it's unity, and for the sake of halting the potential of future conflict between us, May ALLAH forbid such an event from ever coming to pass.

May Allah guide those who are astray to the light of I'iman Rashidun and soften the hearts of the disbelievers, and if not, break their backs!

SAYYID, Hakim Bin Mutayr Bin Qusa'i al-Hattan Al-Fakhr, Emir of the Fakhr Oasis and Sheikh of the Hattan

The Jihadis of the Czena War Citra 1653

The benevolent soldiers of the Qalasheen were once given the task from Allah to defend the faithful using military means, when all other decisions failed. One of the most dangerous tools given to us, for its interpretation has strayed farther from Allah the longer we have been indulged with the men of the north. 

It has been highly misinterpreted by the kingdoms of Godfrey as our meaning of holy war, and I cannot blame them, as their mind is always focused on how to destroy each other. A Jihad is no offensive war, it is, in fact, a measure to defend our faith and fellow farfolks from the great divergents that taint our realm. Chapter fourteen of the most holy Kitab Alsalam shares our rules and the just means for Jihad. We shall focus on the latter, the direct translation of the verse goes as such: 

"Jihad is one of the Greatest things a creation of Allah can do. We have given you two Jihads, one of the mind, and one of the body. The Jihad of the mind is a struggle of tests from Allah, Allah says that ‘He who is in hardship, and pain and suffering, is one who fights Jihad’ In everyone's life they will fight a Jihad of the mind, many times. We have then Given you the Jihad Of the Body. Jihad is declared upon these things. If you have been driven from your home unjustly, If you have been invaded, If one tries to destroy Your faith, To fight the Tyrants, to fight injustice, and to fight those who worship false gods, If they are of those who harm mankind, to fight those who oppress, and to help the oppressed. In the Jihad The followers of the righteous shall fight against the infidel and tyrants, fighting for Allah and Martyrdom or Victory.”

The specifications for Jihad are very clear as to what is justified in the name of Allah as a Jihad, and after careful review it has been my conclusion, that all Jihads that were declared to assist the Empire of Man, Imperium Renatum, The Holy Orenian Empire, or any of the political entities that held power over qalasheen antics are in fact, a sin to be called Jihads. These unjustly declared Jihads were exploitations from our oppressors in the North to unite farfolks to their cause. Allah's will is higher than that of petty fighting for titles and land, however years of oppression left us blind to this. 

Though the Great Al-Mahdi, Auda ibn Fakhri Kharadeen freed our people from the great Farfolk Oppression that was predicted in our book of holiness, the oppression never ended, it just became political rather then by genocide. For us to not recognize our faults, and continue to call these wars of our past Jihads would be a Sin all by itself. Go to your local Imam and repent! History must be changed for us to keep our eternal salvation in Jannah.

I ask all to fear Allah’s punishments. There has been a recent spread of this old heresy called Mutawahirism. The founder, Al Ansari the Liar, claimed to have met the divine light right after the departure of our Master Availer. They claimed that when Availer left, the divine being came to Al Ansari and revealed the divine truths but there is a problem with such accounts.


Why did the divine being come only after our Master Availer’s departure? 

The respected mystic Habib Murrah Bin Dhir al-Khalil spoke about how Availer’s mere presence shook the idols, that his light that has been bestowed upon him by Allah was so bright, all darkness would disappear. He was a walking sun and his presence was ever merciful and so the departure of our beloved Prophet was a dark day.
 

On that dark day, there were many challenges faced by the Qalisheens, a liar by the name of Al Ansari claimed Prophethood and denounced our blessed Prophet. Why did this liar dare to only claim Prophethood after our Master’s departure? It was due to the light of our Master Availer disappearing. The servants of Iblis grew bold and tried to misguide the Ummah by forming a schism and one of the Qalis that gave in to Iblis’s whisper was Al Ansari the Liar.

A hadith of our Prophet  narrated by Habib Murrah Bin Dhir al-Khalil, “ There will come a time where there will be those who will bring fitnah(disputes) among the community and I fear that day. They will claim Prophethood and claim to be representing the divine but do not be fooled by them. For surely, they are  Prophets of Iblis.”

The practices these heretics do may seem similar to our teachings but do not be fooled, they have copied from us and claimed to be on the Haqq(Truth). The ascetic tradition has always been a part of Imaan Al-Rashidun.

A hadith of our Prophet narrated by Faris Al Kadarsi, “There will be 3 groups of people who will fully devote their lives to my cause. The first are the mujahideen(warriors of faith). They are the arms that wield the sword and shield of the Ummah. The second are the ulema(scholars of faith). They are the brains who guide the Ummah with their quills. The ascetical practice of the seekers inspired people to keep faith in Allah and Al Ansari saw their importance so he preached similar ideas. He corrupted the ascetic ideals with the doctrine of dualism. The seekers did not deny the world because it was inherently material but rather they denied the pleasures of the world so that they may focus on achieving perfection like our Master Availer.

They claimed that the family of Al Ansari are the true successors of their faith.  They hold a monopoly on what is true but you do not see such things in Imaan Al-Rashidun. The hadith narrated by Faris Al Kadarsi proves that the successors of Imaan Al Rashidun are those who devote their lives to the cause of Allah, each struggling for the Haqq(truth). 

In Chapter Twenty Four,

“ The Aengul Of Death will take his soul and Allah will then say “I AM THE ONE! THE ONLY! WHERE ARE YOUR FALSE GODS! WHERE ARE THE IDOLS YOU WORSHIPED? WHERE ARE YOUR KINGS? I AM THE ONE, THE ONLY, THE ALMIGHTY, THE KING OF KINGS, THE MASTER! YOU WERE THE ONES WHO THOUGHT YOU WOULD NOT RETURN TO ME! I AM THE KING OF THE WORLD, THE KING OF UNIVERSE, THE KING OF EVERYTHING, THE MAKER OF ALL!” ”

The heretics view their Imams as this infallible people and worship them like idols. Do they not know that only Allah is worthy of worship? They take their Imams and say THEY ARE THE TRUTH. We take our Imams and say THEY ARE ON THE TRUTH because truth is only decided by Allah.

Lastly, I ask all to stay away from their preachers and do not mix with them unless you wish to be misguided by the darkness that disguises itself as ‘light’. 

May Allah have mercy on the Ummah and guide these heretics or destroy their misguidance.

Acts of terrorism and recklessness aggression have plagued Our Cove for up to a decade now, escalating to the summoning of a great kraken into the south seas surrounding Freeport and culminating in the cold blooded murder of our beloved Lord Admiral at the hands of several Druidic tribesmen. The Palace reports three shoeless men, with auxiliary wolves, bears and a hippopotamus to have stormed the Lord Admiral's residence in the early hours of the morning as he slept, before dragging His Grace from his bed and finally impaling him on conjured branches and roots atop the cliffs of Freeport. 

It is believed his body was promptly taken to the Druid grove, so as to be consumed in a cannibalistic ritual. 

All residents of Freeport and representatives of the Sea Senate are encouraged to join us in a period of mourning for the following year. 

May our lost Duke's soul find it's way to the Seven Skies, where we hope he will rest in peace. May the pagans responsible burn in hell.

In the markets of the Oasis, one can hear the talk about Qahir's death being spoken about. Many were speculating whether he was still one of them. There were disputes about whether he really died as a mumineen or a heretic. Hassan who just finished contemplating in the wilderness nearby overheard this conversation. Few drops of tears could be seen rolling down his cheeks and a smile could be seen forming on his face. He went in the middle of the street and called upon the tribesmen to listen to him.

"Oh my people, Oh my people. Today, I bring you glad tidings from Qahir"

The silence was broken with people discussing. 

A tribesman shouted "How could Qahir give glad tidings when he is dead? We don't even know if he died as a believer!"

"Oh my people. Listen to me," Hassan would raise his voice to quell the noise that had arose.

Hassan would continue with his story

The Qalasheen berserker that was banding the deserts for years now was seen captured in Sutica after he went there, he seemed to be peaceful towards the guards around him no even saying a curse to them that jailed him, but he was seen praying to Allah that this was his last day and to have mercy on him.

This might sound unreal too many but the famous Qahir Al-Hamad was seen offering his mace to the officer of Sutica, but he orders his soldiers to shot him in the palm with an arrow and blast him with a fireball as they were afraid of him, kind of a wrong move to do to a man surrendering peacefully.

After he was all this the Qalasheen was taken into the Sutican jails from where we do not know what happens but only guess. But after some time has passed some of the guards came out of the jails speaking among themselves about Qahir throwing a Molotov in front of him ending his life in the progress as he was to be crippled by them. So he chooses to end his life while saying "I will be waiting for you father" and then the flames consumed his body leaving only his burned body behind.

In the marketplace of the Fakhr Tribe, one can hear the preaching of a man. He is a familiar face in the community. He is none other than the Rashidun mystic Hassan ibn Khalid. He is seen leaning on his walking stick while giving a sermon to the public. His hands gesture suggested such intense fervor in his preaching.

Hassan asked

"Ya mumineen, Ya mumineen

Who is Faiz Kharadeen?"

One of the men there would say

"He is the uniter and the first Caliph of the Ummah"

Hassan would answer

"Indeed you speak truth. Sayyidina Faiz is our Caliph. He is our Master. Without him, all the blessings we have would have not existed. He is a chosen of Allah and we seek to be like him. So send your blessings to the friend of Allah and love him as though as you have met him. Indeed, he is the successor to the last Prophet of Allah, our master Availer. So let tears flow while I recite this poem. So let tears flow as I hit the duff."

Try your luck with pole and line as you attempt to catch the finest fish in Freeport! Judged by the Lord Admiral and Lady Dock, the winner will recieve a prize of 50 minas and a spit-shined trophy to put on their fireplace mantle! We'd advise against pestering any seabirds with hooks or nets during this event, for the sake of your own life.

Underbelly Fisticuffs Competiton

Do you believe yourself to be the best boxer on Almaris? Come prove your worth and test your strength in a series of match-ups fought entirely bare-fisted! Hear the ladies (or gentlemen) swoon as you knock your opponent unconcious and claim the champion's seaweed laurel! The ultimate victor of this competition will be known as 'The Fist of Freeport' and will be offered a place as personal guard to His Grace, the Lord Admiral. A Brief Statement from the Lord Dock

To begin, I wish to thank the citizens of Freeport for electing me as the first Lord Dock beneath the leadership of His Grace, Lord Admiral Darius Sare. We have gone through much and more in this last year, but I already feel our small community building bonds to outlast any storm or onslaught of obstacles. These next four years, I hope, will see further growth for our portside home.

Town Hall, Taxation Office, and more!

Having been left with very little infrastructure in regards to the port itself, the Lord Admiral has requested I begin my work on establishing firstly, a town hall, and then a system of mild taxation so that we might build a proper and healthy treasury to fund regional improvements. Any interested in applying for the role of Steward, please find myself or the Lord Admiral to promote your interest. As of now, it is decided that the old Shipwright Guild will be converted into a proper municipal building which we might operate out of, while a tax office shall be built as some form of extension to our local bank.

We've also constructed a ferry between our own port and that of the city Providence, capital of the Holy Orenian Empire. For those wishing to save themselves and their legs, feel free to catch a ride on the very best ship doubloons could buy!

Local Business? Say no more!

Within the next saint's year, local entrepreneurs will be approached in regards to promotion for their businesses, by the Lord Dock. If you're interested in putting word of your wares further out in the open, don't be shy!

A Condemnation of Witchcraft

The Lord Dock would like to offer a formal condemnation of any witchcraft used to harm the citizenry of Freeport, following the events of the previous saint's day. All townsfolk are asked to NOT antagonize the local seagulls until a further investigation into their behavior is conducted.  We also ask that any suspicious activity be reported to the Lord Admiral Darius, the Lord Code, or the Lord Dock.

The Lord Admiral is seeking to locate the lost bell of Freeport, a somewhat-historic relic that was lost at sea by the former leaders of our port. Any desiring to aid in its recovery and restoration are free to form a party and garner assent from His Grace.

THE ADMIRALTY ESTABLISHMENT EDICT

In recognition of Freeport’s liberal nature in it’s fifteen year tenure thus far, it has become apparent that without consistent leadership, Our Shore is doomed to stagnate and crumble.

As such, Our Shore requires one willing to sacrifice their own liberties for Freeport’s endurance. By the will of the Council of Captains upon which Our Shore is founded, a lead Captain is to be named in perpetuum, and Freeport’s sovereignty shall be henceforth invested in the elective model of monarchy as the Admiralty of Freeport. 

 The Lord Admiral

The Lord Admiral is Freeport’s de facto head of state, bestowed with absolute authority over all manners of governance not solidified in the Captains' Constitution of Freeport, 15 S.E.

Rights and Responsibilities of the Lord Admiral:

I. To safeguard the Coral Crown and preside over all aspects of governance in the Admiralty of Freeport not protected by (and thereby preserved in) the Captains' Constitution of Freeport, 15 S.E.
    A. Wherein the Coral Crown and rank of Sovereign is entrusted by majority vote from their peers and public coronation by the Sea Senate in the absence of a present Lord Admiral. 
    B. Wherein the next Lord Admiral is elected from among the Sea Senate and children of any previous Lord Admiral.
    C. Wherein Ducal Prerogative and subsequent sovereign power can temporarily be lent to the Lord Wickie for a publicly declared tenure no longer than four years without renewal. 
II. To bear the rank and stylings of Lord Admiral and Marooned Duke of Freeport, sport the Coral Crown insignia and be addressed as ‘your Grace’ followed by ‘my Lord’, ‘my Duke’ or ‘my Admiral’ respectively. 

III. To appoint Senators to the Sea Senate where authority cannot be derived by usual means. 
IV. To summon, adjourn, and arbitrate over the Sea Senate’, wherein said body is sanctioned with Ducal Prerogative and permitted to govern on His Grace’s behalf. 
V. To remain ‘marooned’ within the borders of Freeport, forbidden from departure from Our Shore for any period longer than four years. 
    A. Wherein an undeclared absence in which His Grace is unaccounted for spanning one year or longer affords Ducal Prerogative to the Sea Senate by default. 
    B. Wherein an undeclared absence in which His Grace is unaccounted for spanning four years or longer affords the powers of impeachment to the Sea Senate, exercised by majority vote motioned by any of the Sea Lords.
VI. To declare a bride Lady Admiral and Marooned Duchess of Freeport, afforded with all but the first, seventh and eighth of the Rights and Responsibilities of Lord Admiral for the remainder of the Marooned Duke’s tenure. 
    A. Wherein the Lady Admiral safeguards the Crown of the Cove.
    B. Wherein the Lady Admiral’s authority is balanced above that of the Lord Wickie and second only to the Lord Admiral himself.
VII. To appoint a Lord Wickie to the Sea Senate where appropriate.
VIII. To hold three Helms upon the Sea Senate. 
    A. Wherein a Lord Admiral may cast votes preemptively in favour of a successor, that will remain tallied until the next Lord Admiral is crowned.
        1. Votes utilised in article VII.a. will be rendered obsolete in the event of an abdication or successful impeachment. 
IX. To serve from election until death, abdication or impeachment.

Sea Senate

The Admiralty of Freeport is to be governed by an evolution of its founding Council of Captains, known as the Sea Senate. When afforded Ducal Prerogative by the Lord Admiral, the Senate consists of acting representatives for the various essential jurisdictional bodies of Freeport known as the Sea Lords, each holding one seat known as a Helm which translates to the number of votes they are able to cast in matters of state and the election of the next Lord Admiral. When in session, it is customary for Sea Lords to address each other as ‘The Right Dishonourable’, though each individual Sea Lord bears their own title, rights and responsibilities. 

Bills that extend past the powers of an individual Sea Lord may be passed by way of ‘Council Fleet’, wherein each Sea Lord casts their vote by either ‘Manning Helm’ in support or ‘Dropping Anchor’ in disapproval. 

They are as follows:
 

Lord Wickie

The Lord Wickie is the Governor of Freeport. Hand chosen by the Lord Admiral, they are the symbolic Lighthouse Keeper guiding Freeport’s ships and Captaining the Admiralty’s day-to-day functions in the Lord Admiral’s absence. Unlike all other Helms in the Senate, the Lord Wickie may concurrently fill any one additional role upon the council. 

Rights and Responsibilities of the Lord Wickie:

I. To preside over the Sea Senate, empowered to exercise the Rights and Responsibilities of each in times of urgency or where said Helm is vacant.
II. To motion the dismissal of unruly and ineffective Sea Lords, ratified by majority vote. 
III. To bear the rank and stylings of Lord Wickie and Lighthouse Governor of Freeport, sport the Lighthouse insignia and be addressed as ‘your Excellency’, followed by ‘my Lord’ or ‘Governor’ respectively. 
IV, To put forth a Council Fleet in sponsorship of a Bill pertaining to any aspect of Freeport’s governance not protected by (and thereby preserved in) the Captains' Constitution of Freeport, 15 S.E.
V. To carry out the will of the Lord Admiral and serve as an extension of their sovereignty. 
    A. Wherein the powers of sovereign 
VI. To ensure smooth daily operation of Freeport’s legislative bodies, and to assist the Sea Lords wherever able.
    B. Wherein the Lord Wickie must host and tally elections to determine the next Lord Dock when vacant.
    C. Wherein the Lord Wickie must enfranchise all accounted for Property Holders and Sea Captains as the Mayoral electorate.
    D.Wherein the Lord Wickie must host and roll dice to determine the next Lord Code when vacant.
    E. Wherein the Lord Wickie must host an auction to determine the next Lord Booty when vacant.
VII. To advise the Lord Admiral in the appointment of other Sea Lords to the Sea Senate where authority cannot be derived by usual means. 
VIII. To hold one Helm upon the Sea Senate. 
IX. To serve from appointment until death, retirement or dismissal. 
    A. Wherein the powers of dismissal are solely invested in the Lord Admiral.

Lord Dock

The Lord Dock is the Mayor of Freeport. Chosen by the property holders and Captains of Freeport for a term of four years, the Lord Dock is responsible for the housing, mooring and wellbeing of the people of Freeport, and is expected to act as a voice for the masses upon the Sea Senate. 

Rights and Responsibilities of the Lord Dock:

I. To preside over the harbour mooring, housing and innkeeping of Freeport as well as negotiating platforms for the other Sea Lords to conduct their respective duties within Freeport’s borders.
    A. Wherein the Lord Dock is also empowered to form a Crew to delegate their respective duties as they deem fit.
    B. Wherein the Lord Dock is afforded the power to veto proposed changes to the pricing of housing throughout their term. 
II. To bear the rank and stylings of Lord Dock and Habour Mayor of Freeport, sport the Anchor insignia and be addressed as ‘your Excellency’, followed by ‘my Lord’ or ‘Mayor’ respectively. 
III. To put forth a Council Fleet in sponsorship of a Bill pertaining to any aspect of Freeport’s governance not protected by (and thereby preserved in) the Captains' Constitution of Freeport, 15 S.E.
IV. To hold one Helm upon the Sea Senate. 
V. To serve from election until the end of a four year term or impeachment. 
    A. Wherein the powers of dismissal are invested in the Lord Admiral’s decree or the Lord Wickie when ratified by majority vote.

Lord Code

The Lord Code is the sole Judge, Jury and Executioner of Freeport. Chosen at complete random from residents volunteering for the role by toss of coin when only two and roll of dice when more step forth, the Lord Code typically serves until death, though can choose to retire early or alternatively be dismissed by the Lord Admiral or majority vote by the Sea Council should they fail to act in Freeport’s best interest.

Rights and Responsibilities of the Lord Code:

I. To preside over disagreements between crews that cannot be settled, the assurance of justice to the non-seafaring populace and the administration of punishment in Freeport as well as the presentation of cases for dismissal to the Lord Wickie.
    A.Wherein the Lord Code is also empowered to form a Crew to delegate their respective duties as they deem fit.
    B. Wherein the Sea Lords of Freeport are above the Lord Code’s judgement and answerable only to the Lord Admiral and Lord Wickie.
II. To bear the rank and stylings of Lord Code and Justice of Freeport, sport the Plank insignia and be addressed as ‘your Excellency’, followed by ‘my Lord’, ‘Judge’ or ‘Justice’ respectively.

Lord Swashbuckle

The Lord Swashbuckle is the Marshal of Freeport. Hand chosen by the Lord Admiral, they are the master of Freeport’s fleet and armed forces. 

Rights and Responsibilities of the Lord Swashbuckle:

I. To preside over the defense of Freeport and it’s assets both maritime and terrestrial.
    A. Wherein the Lord Swashbuckle is also empowered to form a Crew to delegate their respective duties as they deem fit
II. To bear the rank and stylings of Lord Swashbuckle and Marshal of Freeport, sport the Cannon insignia and be addressed as ‘your Excellency’, followed by ‘my Lord’, ‘Marshal’ or ‘General’ respectively.

Lord Map

The Lord Map is the head Diplomat of Freeport. Hand chosen by the Lord Wickie or Lord Admiral, they are responsible for the establishment of treaties, upkeep of communications and negotiation beyond Freeport’s borders. 

Rights and Responsibilities of the Lord Map:

I. To preside over the international relations of Freeport and to inform the Lord Admiral and Sea Senate of the goings on of the world where able.
    A. Wherein the Lord Map is also empowered to form a Crew to delegate their respective duties as they deem fit
II. To bear the rank and stylings of Lord Map and Diplomat of Freeport, sport the Compass insignia and be addressed as ‘your Excellency’, followed by ‘my Lord’, ‘Diplomat’ or ‘Crosspainter’ respectively.

Lord Booty

The Lord Booty is the head Treasurer of Freeport. Chosen by auction and ratified by the Lord Wickie or Lord Admiral, they are responsible for gathering, preserving, growing and plundering for Freeport’s treasury, including the provision of food and resources and coin for each respective Sea Lords’ needs.

Rights and Responsibilities of the Lord Booty:

I. To preside over the treasury, collect rates and secure funding for all fiscal entities in Freeport.
    A. Wherein the Lord Booty is also empowered to form a Crew to delegate their respective duties as they deem fit.
   B. Wherein the Lord Booty is required to deliberate with the Lord Dock on any changes to the pricing of barnacle and mortar assets. 
II. To bear the rank and stylings of Lord Booty and Treasurer of Freeport, sport the Treasure Chest insignia and be addressed as ‘your Excellency’, followed by ‘my Lord’, ‘Chestmaster’ or ‘Gold counter’ respectively.

'Chapter Twelve: The Nether

Allah then takes the man and only dips him into the Nether for one second and returns him and asks ‘what happiness did you have in your life?’ the man will say ‘I have had nothing of good in my life’ Allah shows us that just a second in the Nether will make anyone forget their happiness. That is the punishment of those who disobey Allah and do wrong to the world. Allah Is indeed the best of punishers and the most Just.'

Oh Believers, Oh Believers

Do you not see the fire of the nether? Do you not fear the divine punishment? Oh my brothers and sisters, do not forget your duties as a believer. Do not forget your duties to one another. Do not kill the innocent nor do you spill unnecessary blood. Do not forget your daily prayer as prescribed in the Kitab Al-Salam.

By Allah, we will be questioned on judgement day and what will you say? Allah would put you amongst those who you have wronged, and they will ask why you harmed them, and the sun will be right above you. Do you not fear justice?

Repent oh brothers and sisters. Hold your brothers and sisters accountable for their action. Do not keep quiet and stand up against injustice. We are the servants of justice.

When the blessed Wandering Wizard preached among us, he did so knowing that there will be some that would oppose him and worship false gods.

When the Farfolk oppression happened, the Mahdi stood by the community and persevered with faith in Allah. He feared Allah more than the worldly persecution.

We are the servants of justice so speak up and stand up against injustice even if they are your own tribesmen. Enjoin right and forbid wrong for Allah is with you!! Allahuakbar!

May Allah forgive us and elevate our master Availer and make us the likes of our master Faiz Kharadeen, the Mahdi and the Pious. Ameen. Ameen. Ameen.

The Light Within

Ever since I was a small boy, I have looked up to the scholars of faith. My father encouraged me to become a scholar of the faith. He told me that I will change the world. I did not believe him. I could not believe him. I mean what could a boy like me do. 

Then I went to study under the scholars. They would teach me about the sacred law and I would learn it. My father was proud. The feeling of light in my heart would vanish.

The destruction of the old city had left me and many other Qalisheens seeking refuge with the Fakhr tribe.  I had lost my father and my siblings. May Allah have mercy on them. After this chapter of my life, the feeling of light in my heart would vanish.

I had heard of the Fakhr tribe and was fondly curious of the Ulamah tribe. They were intelligent and their Shaykha, Esmae, was a kind and very accepting person. She took me in as one of her tribesmen. 

Throughout the years, the Fakhr tribe started recognizing me as an alim and would often seek guidance in religious affairs. I was truly thankful that the tribe had accepted me. My religious knowledge had deepened and yet I still felt empty. I felt like I was missing a light. The world was still gray to me.

One night, I was at the mosque reciting the Al-Salam alone at night. There was nothing unusual that day but when I recited Chapter eight: The Moon, my heart just broke like a wall that shattered. The colours of the world started to brighten and the moon pulsed like a heart. I looked into my hands and saw light shining through them. I thought I was hallucinating. Tears started to flow like a river.

Then I stopped crying and I had a sudden urge to go to the hills. There I sat for an unspecified amount of times, I looked at the moon and chanted ‘Oh Allah, You are one.’ The moon pulsed as if it was chanting with me and the stars moved as if they were dancing to my chant. I stood up with my right palm facing the stars, spinning whilst chanting. For the first time in a long time, the light in my heart was shining bright like the moon in the dark sky.
 

My name is Hassan ibn Khalid and this is my story

Greetings to whomever may find this letter. I write to you from the town of Freeport, within the south of Almaris. I will get straight to the point- I am looking for a crew again. In my journeys, I felt the need to disband my crew due to… personal reasons. These past couple of years were rough on me, and I did not think much of the sea because I could not. But now, now I think of the sea once more. I must rebuild my crew again for now there are treasures we must reclaim.

The voyage to where Freeport would go was not a smooth trip. Nay, the seas were not calm those days. Storms were prevalent and the decks were soaked. The waves were huge and our ship nearly capsized multiple times. Mr. Mane and I did not think we’d see land or even escape the sea with our lives at one point. Luckily, fate found it fortunate enough for us to escape to calmer seas. We had made it out and somehow our damaged vessel found land. For the most part, our supplies were intact. We lost food and some building supplies, but it was not anything we could not reclaim on land. We did, however, lose something of importance. On board the ship when we set sail was a golden bell. It was beautiful and masterfully crafted. I do not know the worth of the bell, but Mr. Mane and I were proud to have such a treasure and we planned to hang it from a tower in Freeport.

The storm caused us to lose the bell, escaping to the depths of the sea. Once we had landed, Mr. Mane and myself took many trips to the sea, trying our best to locate the missing bell. Any who visited Freeport were asked if they saw it, but all answered no. Disheartened, he and I gave up our search, deciding to focus our efforts elsewhere. 

We were too quick to give up. Recently, we were told someone spotted our bell during a voyage. Mr. Mane and I were relieved to know it was still out there. I write this letter in hopes we can gather a crew to search and reclaim this great treasure and what else may be with it. To all interested, come find me in Freeport. We have housing available for you to use while you sail with us. You can send a messenger if I am not around, but I am awaiting your replies.

At the far far desert in the south a body was laying under a medium high tree, dead bushes as well as bones were scattered around the area that the body was, it seems like the body was wearing a old Al-Faiz uniform with blood stains all over it while the mans mouth was fill with blood like he chooked from it, the body had still a bad smells so it seems it wasnt very long that the man died and from the mighty beard and messy hair people could noticed if the new the man, that this was Damon Augoust. At what it  seems the man looks like he died while holding book with the name 'my story' he might had a strong bond with it as the grip of the mans hands had a tight hold on it.

After abit of time i found the bravery to open the book as i got back home, their i saw charters of his every day life as one of the guards of Al-Faiz, tacticts they used in battles, even learned about his personal life on how he got devorsed the same day that his wedding happen and how he ended up dead, the thing that socked me the most is his last words... (words of damon) "i know today i am going to die, i lived a long life and most parts of it was great... i miss my akhis, friends.. everyone really  *a draw is placed next to this words of soldier charging into battle himself included in a small scale* i will never forget the endless battles, the nightless festivals that made as dance untill the sun rised up once more... but now my time came i am laying here... almost dead from this curse that came upon me, to die alone in this desert from a sickness..., now tho i can be free from this suffering and join my akhis and my son at the seven skies... may allah  forgive my past sins that  i done and let me come forth...."

As i read all this i couldn't help myself from heading back and giving this warrior a rightful burial, as he didnt deserve to be eated by desert hooks neither a hungry snake, and as for the book i placed it with him, the qalasheen secrets must stay between them as none of as is worthy enough to hold such knowledge, let this man rest now and finaly find the peace he deserves, i said while glanced at the grave for the last time and i remember clearly a tear running down from my cheeks before departing.

For many centuries the age-old Canonist Church has disrespected the Al’iiman Rashidun faith. Our Badawi way of life has allowed us to ignore this, while our brethren of Sultans and Caliphs took the fight. The stories of the White Man's church murdering, lying, and exploitation of Qalasheen are spread far and wide among each tent. We had planned to ignore these senseless factors in the new lands of the descendants and live peaceful lives in our desert. However, this has changed, With the continuous Sutican colonization of the desert that tears closer and closer into our lands daily, the church has become more open on their distaste of our religion and lifestyle. 

We of the family of Banu Hamad have only been defending our people from any outsider presence in our lives, as the only thing that follows a white bereaucrat or king, is controversy. We have fought and killed to maintain our freedom and livelihood from the ones who have continuously taken it in the past. Even though our cause may be noble, the church does not approve. A Qali day ago, Assassins' arrived into our camp trying to kill my son, Qahir. After many hours of fighting and blood from the very skilled men, a cease fire concluded the fight. The bandits informed us the church had hired them to assassinate my son, an outrage to be heard truly. 

We were denounced by the pathetic church for defending our desert from colonizers and called heretics. Though now they have directly challenged our way of life and are attempting to once again enslave the Qalasheen and dominate the nations with their fancy buildings and empty words. We will not allow this. We will not assimilate with the church, we will not be recognized as a sect, we will not break to the weak old men in wigs who must hire mercenaries to fight their battles. 

Until the Church offers reparations for their international crimes, The Banu Hamad urges all followers of the Rashidun faith to recognize the Church as a Cult with no holy backing. The Church in recent years has become more and more of an independent administration that does not tie with any nation, perhaps that's the reason for their incapable leadership and our respect for certain Canonist nations.
