Here in Nor’Asath, formerly known as Stygian hollow, 10 stalls opened up and are ready to be occupied at a cheap and reasonable price.

Nor’Asath is a Urguani Mali’ker’s vassal right on the road to the Urguani capital Kal'Darakaan, so we have a lot of people coming onto our roads to visit us!

The 9 stalls that are available are located by the entrance bridge and near the bank, giving a profitable spot to showcase what you have to sell!

Most of the stalls are the same size, some decoration is needed for some but we will gladly help you if you need materials to decorate yours.

The smells of brilliant meals waft through the air, and the sounds of bustling folks preparing for the upcoming feast could be heard all over the city - soon the tavern would be filled with ale, food, and joyous laughter!

A feast is being put together by the 'ker of the Valin'dar bloodline residing in Nor'asath, and all citizens of the city are invited, along with a list of others!

Since Zirath R’ikarth was instated as the current Archon of Stygian Hollow, he and his people have been working diligently to come up with ways to Improve the city of the ‘Ker. It has been no secret that for many years the Hollow has been looked down upon. I have spent much of my time in discussion with other ‘Ker to hear their opinions on the Vassal. From what I have gathered, many see our beloved city as a remnant of Renelia; Built by Velulaei’onns and settled with titles the old ‘Ker state previously held.

For many ‘ker, Renelia does not hold the fondest memories in their minds. A state made to be great that slowly died out after feuds broke out between our people. Their people were led to be antagonistic by their previous Archon, acting out in radical behaviour when it came to their beliefs. Persecuting others without offering peaceful options to teach new citizens or ‘Ker around the realm.

We do not want to be seen under the same light. We in Stygian Hollow hope to be our own entity when it comes to how we are viewed, seeking to build a better home and a brighter future for the Mali’ker who have not had their own haven in many years. Despite the war at our doorstep, we are here to remind ourselves that while we support our dwarven hosts, our main goal is to protect and teach not only the Mali within our walls, but those who wish reside here in the future. We want to preserve and rebuild our culture and recognize one again what it means to be a Mali’ker..

As stated, there are many things that need to be done as we reconstruct our city to be the perfect paradigm of the Mali’kers abilities.. However, through much discussion in our council we have decided that as we begin to look towards the future, a public rebrand is in order.

On this day, 9th of the Grand Harvest, no longer are we to be called Stygian Hollow as we reach for a more fitting name. Instead, we are reverting back to the name we sought for upon being built. From here on out we are now the ‘ker city of Nor’Asath.

The Vindicators of Uradas

The ashen folk are no stranger to times of peril, and they are accustomed to migrating from place to place in search of a home. Over the centuries, ‘ker cities have risen and fallen; some by the hands of incompetent leadership, others by the malicious intent of our oppressors. A true home for the Mali’ker people is but a dream to most; but that dream has come true, for now - and the defenders of this new home intend to make that realized dream stand the test of time…

The Vindicators of Uradas were created to provide a fighting body for Nor'Asath, and do so under the auspices of the ancient ‘ker ancestors - specifically Uradas, the order’s namesake. Vindicators take up an oath upon the ancestors to protect their home, and bring the fight to those who seek to assail the ashen folk. Along with this, their duties include patrolling the streets; providing law, order, and peace of mind to the city’s denizens.

An ancient ‘ker of legend, Uradas was a father of the old city of Renelia, and husband to Velulaei herself. Until his dying days, he weathered the storm of time and the eons of strife that his people faced - and he remained resolute in his mission. It is from his great strength that we Vindicators call upon to snuff out the enemies of the Mali’ker, and with his zeal that we Vindicate.

The Vindicators of Uradas follow a simple, yet effective military structure of ranks:

Lord Warmaster

The highest title a Vindicator can achieve, the position is hand picked by the Archon. They show exemplary leadership skills, unparalleled combat prowess, and near fanatical devotion to the safety and security of the ‘ker people. The Lord Warmaster commands all the forces of the order, and reports directly to the Archon. There can be only one Lord Warmaster serving at any time.

Warmaster

Second in command to the Lord Warmaster, Warmasters fulfil the role of battlefield officers in the Vindicators of Uradas, and assist the Lord Warmaster in the day to day operations. They lead Vindicators upon the field of battle, organize trainings, and oversee logistical matters. There are only two or three Vindicators serving at any time, unless more are deemed necessary during times of war.

Vindicator

The bulk of the rank and file, the Vindicator is one who has completed their Trials of Vindication. They take up arms in defense of the Mali’ker people, and go out to do battle with our enemies. They report to the Warmasters, and are the fighting force of Nor'Asath.

Initiate

Any individual can be an initiate, they must simply first indicate their intention to join to any Warmaster, or Lord Warmaster. They will be issued weapons, armour, and rations - though they will not be eligible for other incentives until they complete their Trials of Vindication. They are still expected to fight and defend Nor'Asath as any other Vindicator.

Inventives

All fully fledged Vindicators shall enjoy the following benefits:

A unique uniform to be proud of (cool skin made by the wonderful Tulan#7704)

Rations (PvP food)

Housing, free of taxes (this does not include manors or exceptionally large abodes. Ask if you are unsure)

I write this missive, not out of free will, but out of necessity…

A person I believed to be a friend, ally, and family member decided to paint me and my kin in a spot where we apparently are  defenseless and useless. Then they proceeded to offer help from them and the Empire which we didn’t ask for, nor want. Urguan with all its imperfections has been and still is a fair and honest landlord that cares about their citizens and landowners. It has its century old traditions, which unfortunately include practices like clipping ears, but I am not in a position to eradicate such embedded traditions. However this fair and respectful behavior does not count for the Empire…

Me, myself, Zirath Talhoffer R’ikarth once was a member of this ‘glorious empire’ that is a safe place for all. Yet this was the place where I have experienced the most racism in my entire existence. Decades ago, I joined the ministry of Justice of Oren, trying to do the right thing for the people, for society. Yet, my comrades, people that had sworn to do the right thing and protect everyone chose to be the least inclusive of them all. Names like dagger ear and coal were names that were thrown at my face on a daily basis. This was simply based on my appearance. My actions did not matter. I was just the dark elf that thought he had a place in Oren. Just a few individuals tried to stay on my side, individuals that risked to protect my place as a Mali in the empire. 

Like mentioned before, Urguan was always inclusive and respectful, no matter that I was not of their race thus I stand behind the Grand Kingdom in this conflict as well. No matter what lies the Empire is spreading, or trying to claim us, Mali to be the victims in this conflict. We are not suppressed in any way possible in Urguan, we are allowed to live our own lives, keep our own culture and traditions while not getting judgement I received in the Empire. Even better, the government of the Grand Kingdom even allowed me to marry my ex wife Inui that sadly passed away in Kal’Darakaan with my own rituals. Something that would never be possible in the Empire Among the imperials, there might be some of my family and kin, but my Clan and I do not wish to partake, nor do we support the nonsense that has been propagated by the Empire.I sincerely invite my friends and family to join us in Urguan in our safe space that Stygian Hollow is, as it is truly a safe place for our kin where we are accepted and not judged by our appearances or traditions.

The Rise of An Archon

Since the death of Archon, Vival Velulaei’onn, Zirath R’ikarth has been chosen to take his place and has been standing in as the current Archon. Though a celebration for his instatement is long past due

Zirath R’ikarth will take an oath to protect, lead, and assist his people, the Mali’ker, and will officially be seated as the Archon of the Urguan Vassal, Stygian Hollow

The event will happen within the temple where the oathing will take place, afterwards, we will move down to the tavern for drinks, a time for everyone to share stories, or their hopes for the future.

Kae’tar Valin’dar’s Coming of Age Celebration

As is according to Mali traditions, 50 years of age is the time in any young mali's life that they step forward into adulthood and leave their childhood in the past.

Though Kae’tar may have already reached the age of 51, the attack on Amathea and the Valin'dar family's following relocation to Stygian Hollow have set back the ceremony some time- and he has yet to formally take part in the celebration.

But now, in a joyous fest of singing, drinking, dancing and brawling, he casts aside his youth and becomes the man he is meant to be. The celebration will be located in Stygian Hollow's tavern, and all are welcome to stop by. Food and drinks will be provided free of cost, and there will be a performance of the traditonal Valin'dar art Orannyer'ilsilan (Sword Dancing) and a fistfighting tournament- a prize in store for the victor.

A Dance for the Ker

Though the ‘ker city, Stygian Hollow, has been quiet for many years, a new hand has been offered to aid the city to break their silence.

Since the burning of the Archon’s home in an attack and the clearing of the smoke, Matriarch, Rhaella Ashwood, thought it about time to host an event not only to lift the spirits of the people who still reside within the hollow, but as a way to showcase the city once more

Within the year, a formal ball is to be hosted! A nostalgic nod to a ball once hosted within Vira’ker when the Matriarch was young. Soon the hollow would be cleared of it’s debris and decorated for the event. The ravines and gardens full of attendees dressed in their best outfits.

Stalls will be set up for merchants to sell their items to the masses and the tavern will be filled with new drinks for everyone to indulge in

The bells would ring throughout Stygian Keep in rejoicement! A wedding! A wedding! On the 15th of Malin’s Welcome, year 39 S.A, a beautiful ceremony shall bind the two flowers who have pledged the rest of their life together in love and harmony!

The scrawny 5’4 manlet Northguard Lee Sun has declared his undying fidelity and love for the beautiful, young, Rustler Astrid Boulivert and proposed to her within the Rustler fort! A true tale of two young lovers who by all means should not be together but fate has made it so!

“I know I don’t have much, and I know we haven’t known each other for long, but will you marry me?” Where the words that were so romantically ushered out from the Northguard’s mouth as he dropped onto one knee, stating: “Till death do us part” 

An invitation would be extended out for all of Almaris, those who wish to watch the two young lovers bound together are more than welcome to watch.

The citizens and royal family of Norland would be personally invited to watch one of their own Red Faith guards, sacrifice his religion in the name of love and undergo a Canonist wedding!

Dwarves Drink Free Night

This coming Stone week there will be a dwarves drink free night in the Stygian Hollow to reach out to the dwarves of Urguan. Included in the festivities will be an organized-in-the-moment brawl, free alcohol, and a number of snacks.

All dwarves across Almaris are invited to come fight, drink, and be entertained. Signs will be put up to guide you to the tavern day of the event.

What will I be giving away?

I will be giving away two $25 prizes to pay for, or go towards art for your character of choice. You can either have me directly pay for the art if it is less than or equal in price to $25 dollars, or it can go towards a larger piece and you can pay the difference! Artist is obviously of your choice.

How do you enter said Giveaway?

1) You show up to the wedding event within Stygian Hollow on Sunday.
2) You get some roleplay going during the event!
3) Take a screenshot of you doing some roleplay within the city (Perhaps an emote of yours to show your roleplay and rp name!)
4) Send me the screenshot on discord with your IRP name, Your IGN in the message.

Through transcendence you shall have your eyes opened to the truth of this world and those of Stygian Hollow shall be freed next. This is just the beginning."  - Words spoken to Abyasa in his final moments.

All is quiet in Stygian Hollow as crows gather atop buildings to overlook the sleeping settlement. The pale moon hangs ever present in the sky overhead, casting it’s pallid glow over the landscape and the forms of the various shadowy figures clambering the walls to make their way into the city undetected.

“This is the place?” comes the raspy voice of one of the figures before the leader comes to offer their reply.

“This is the place. Hang the body and disperse, our work is only just beginning.” the lead figure offered in return.

And so those hooded figures did fade into the shadows, going undetected in the night. As the moon falls below the horizon and the sun comes to rise, the first rays of sunlight illuminate the form of a young man hanging from a tree near the town square.

 His body was covered in deep lacerations and bruises, his eyes missing. A single sign was nailed to the mans chest.

“This is what happens to those who follow in the cursed light of the Aenguls. Repent your sins and you shall have your eyes opened to the truth of this world. Sthalme'etyun narn'malifkar” the hands of the body are sewn together, as if in prayer.

And so the warning had been left.. These grim tidings were just the beginning, a storm was brewing in Stygian Hollow and people were going missing.
